LinkD: The software "LinkD" developed by Tata Technologies provides a virtual connectivity from client machine to server machine

Its USP:

LinkD software is the only link between the two m/c's. The remote m/c cannot use any other service of the local server machine, such as telnet, FTP etc.

Any other machine on the Internet cannot open a connection with the server.

If any malicious user on the Internet tries to spoof the network in order to capture the packets exchanged between the 2 m/c's, LinkD Software can detect this spoofing, and will terminate the connection.

If a user on the Internet tries to masquerade as the client machine (by assuming the Address of the client machine), this software can detect the same, and will terminate the connection.

Mail-Sentry : is a middleware to integrate varied mail-ids into a single company-wide domain address. Additionally it provides features for logging unauthorised user access.

SCMF: Source Code Management Facility (SCMF) from Tata Technologies is an intelligent repository on UNIX platforms. SCMF stores elements of source code as incremental upgrades. It collates related units of software elements (source, make files & specification etc.) into projects. All projects are stored and secured in a single repository.

Features

Software Configuration Management provides a mechanism for identifying, controlling & tracking the versions of each software item that constitutes a software system.

Software Configuration supports features like Reporting, Version Control, Process Control, Build Management, Dependency Tracking, Release Management, Change Management and History Tracking.

SCMF sets up a hierarchy of roles/classes through which users access elements. Users can only carry out actions as privileged by their class/role. SCMF also streamlines the build process by fetching element from the repository and using correct compilers, libraries. This establishes discipline and control over the process of developing and deploying applications. SCMF keeps track of various user actions and changes to the elements.
