Product Data Management (PDM)

Enterprise-level Product Data Management (PDM) enables companies to create, manage and control product information as it evolves throughout the design-through manufacturing life cycle. It allows for easy access to the design and manufacturing data to facilitate the design, revision, approval, and release process. It maintains information regarding parts and assemblies, their interlinks, drawing information namely material information that go into manufacture of vehicles.

Services Provided

Tata Technologies' PDM team has experience in designing and developing comprehensive Product Data Management (PDM) systems.� We are business partners with SAP for implementation of their PDM system and to interface third-party PDM systems to SAP ERP systems. We also assist in the integration of data from CAD/CAM/CAE software, ERP systems, document management and imaging systems and customer proprietary programs used in the product development process.

We are business partners with SDRC for implementation of their enterprise-level PDM, Metaphase Series 2, a modular software which combines an advanced object oriented environment with the stability and proven performance of commonly used relational databases.

We are implementation partners with PTC for implementation of Web-based Collaboration solutions using Windchill, that allows manufacturers to exploit the Web to let customers, partners, suppliers and members of the extended organization collaborate throughout a product's lifecycle. Web-based Collaboration portals offer a complete network of product and process knowledge that can be leveraged as a strategic enterprise asset to drive innovation and expand revenue and market opportunities.

The PDM team has successfully completed implementations at companies in India and abroad.� Our consultants are currently engaged in various projects in US, UK and Australia.
