Her first two months was spent in Frankfurt for language course. She moved there in October 2003. Therefore, I had opportunity to go around Frankfurt with her. There were not much to see in Frankfurt, unfortunately, since many buildings had been torn down during WW II. We visited the EU Bank, Main River, and some other places. Main River was so magnificent at night. The water was glimmered - look like thousand of jewelries - by the reflection of the city light.
On her movement to Bremen, I could experience the ICE train. It is one of the fastest train in Germany. It took more or less 3 hours from Frankfurt to Bremen which is normally 5 hours-trip by ordinary train. Moreover, the interior was like the interior of an airplane-so cozy and sophisticated.
So, for the next three months after arrival, I visited her in Bremen every once a month by EUROLINES bus. Its ticket price is cheaper than the price of train. In Bremen, I saw many places , such as the exquisite city center - The Doomsheide, the Bremen Space Center or Botcherstrasse (a small alley with lots of old buildings).
In the middle of her stay, we had a chance to visit Hamburg. It was only 30-60 minutes by train from Bremen. Hamburg is a very big city with size almost the same as Frankfurt. However, since it was only 1 day trip, we did not visit much. We went only around Rathaus. Nevertheless, the scenery was so splendid.

I like Brussels very much. It has the facilities of a big city but the inhabitants are not as crowded as other big cities such as Frankfurt, Paris or Amsterdam. There are so many things you can explore in Brussels as capital city of Belgium. You can enjoy its old and beautiful architectures sceneries, taste its chocolate called "pralines" (hmm...yummy!!), touch its famous lace and tapestry (a kind of embroidery), drink - what belgian people proud of - belgian beer (which is unfortunately I could not explore it...), and eathing the famous Belgian wafel!. In addition, Brussels also gives you opportunity to explore the History of Tintin!
One of the advantages of living in Brussels is its official languages. There are 2 official languages which are French and Dutch. I called this situation an advantage, because:
1. When you read something in Dutch and you don't know the meaning, you can try to understand it via French version and the other way around.
2. I didn't find difficulties to adjust myself when visiting cities in France or Netherlands.
The other advantage is for those who are coin collectors. If you want to collect Euro coins from other European Countries, you have greater chance to get them all in Brussels for Brussels is the capital city of Europe. Of course you cannot dream of getting euro coins of Monaco, San Marino and Vatical or two and one cents of Finland, since they were issued only of collector's item and they are very expensive!!
To witness some of Brussels sceneries you may click here.
Most of the pictures I took during practical work, inter-city class, laboratory work or when they were stress on their study. You will see some weird' or 'tired' faces in this collection. Only some can bear the burden (and that includes me .... hehehe, sorry guys, I must be looking nice on my website...:D).
Feel free to click here and don't be afraid looking at their faces. I can assure you that they are good and nice people. Anyway, if you are attracted to one of them, just feel free to contact me, liasson fee is negotiable!..:D
