Hradec Kralove
Rike and Isa brought me along to Pec.  Click here to see the Pec pictures.
I went to Hradec Kralove to meet up with Rike and Isa, who were taking a ski course in Pec pod Snezkou.  This was sort of  a halfway point.  I had to change trains in Pardubice (home of the horse races in the Czech Republic), and the background for this page is a map of Czechoslovakia that forms one of the walls in the Pardubice train station.

The picture on the left is a communist monument at the Hradec Kralove train station.  It kind of reminded me of the Detroit Red Wings' logo.
This is the main square in Hradec Kralove.  It looks pretty similar to Olomouc, and it happened to be completely deserted this afternoon (it was a cold day in March.)
Sorry about the distortion, but here are Isa, Rike and Manuel outside the H.K. train station.
H.K. is located at the confluence of the Labe (Elbe) and Orlici rivers.
