2/04/03 Josh bought me an HKS egt gauge, 550cc fuel injectors, Supra SMIC, 2g lifters, 2g MAS, and an AFC for Christmas!!! My car is so badass! I have installed everything but the intercooler because I am going to need to get piping welded so thats going to wait for a while. 9/14/02 I now have the boost turned up to 15psi and Josh built me an "off road" pipe. It has a huge exhaust leak now but he will weld it better one of these days soon, I hope! My car just seems dead. I have no power until the boost kicks in and even that takes way too long. Oh, and my car got broken into and the fucker stole my pocketlogger!!! Well, the cradle is still there but the palm is gone. So now I have to buy a new one, I hate theives!! 8/31/02 I swear my car is like bi-polar or something because the other day, Josh and I built a custom 3inch intake pipe and then he wrapped the knock sensor in thick tape to see if it would be less sensitve. So we like drive around that night with the pocketlogger, still no difference with the knock problem. But the next day, it drove awsome! The pocketlogger picked up almost no knock!! I don't know why it suddenly like fixed itself but I'm not going to complain! But now, it does run a lot better but it still knocks sometimes but sometimes its fine. The knock LED doesn't come on anymore though so thats good. Then we hooked up the manual boost controller and set the boost at around 12. Its a kick in the ass! I love it! But I am not going to get on it too much because I just filled it with regular gas so I could be getting real knock so I have to wait till this tank is gone then I'll put the good stuff in. Anyways, I'm really happy with her! 8/26/02 My car is running sooo shitty. I don't know what else to replace. I got a new computer, knock sensor, rebuilt the head, replaced all of the gaskets, rebuilt the turbo, new exhaust manifold, new fuel pressure regulator, spark plug wires, and...I can't even remember the rest! My car has NO power, it thinks its knocking, I floor it and it goes no where! And it does this thing where it feels like its chugging when I get on it, even just a little. Can't figure that one out. I feel like dumping her off the nearest cliff and starting all over! 8/22/02 Finally got the pocketlogger! I hate fricken UPS. It was supposed to be here Monday but something got messed up on the address so we called them and fixed it that day but then the next day it was getting late so we called to see if it was coming still and they said that the address change was done too late to be sent out the next day. So then we leave and sure as shit, we come back an hour later and they taged our door! So the next day I had a hair appointment at like 2:30 and I figured they wouldn't come till later because all the other times were like at 4 or so. Nope, as soon as I left, 7 mins later, they showed up. I put a note on the door and asked if they would leave it in the main office. They said the manager wouldn't sign for it which is bs because they always do! So still no pocketlogger buy thursday morning. I finally drove all the way down there to wait in line for 30mins to pick it up. Ok enough bitching. So I hook the pocketlogger up and my car is knocking like a mofo!!! I knew that already cause my knock LED always turns on solid and does stupid shit like that. So when I'm just cruising around not getting on it, its at its full knock count of 43. Weird. Not to mention I'm only pushing 6lbs of boost!!! I might as well consider it a Non Turbo. Oh, and the timing is all fucked and everything is all fucked basically cause the knock. I don't know how it could be knocking that bad anyways plus I think you would hear it if it was that bad. Oh well, I'll let joshie figure it out! 8/14/02 I just ordered a pocketlogger!! I'm sooooo excited, now I can finally figure out whats wrong with her! It should be here Monday, and if all goes well, it will work on Josh's palm pilot phone thing. Thats why he bought the phone in the first place and they said i would work but then they said it wouldn't after we bought the phone. I made some decisions about the talon last night...I'm going to build her for road racing but also have her be a good all around car. I'm going to do some suspension stuff and I might try to stick with the stock turbo because I've been told you can go really far on one before you need to upgrade. Anyways, I'm going to run a strait pipe and do the whole exhaust thing soon, and then just worry about that stuff instead of getting the bumper painted and all that stuff. I do want to get some wheels on her even if they are just the stock ones again because the wheels that she has now are so bent up that I get nervous going around corners too fast. So what I think I'm going to do is look around for some stock wheels or maybe some 2g wheels or something but I want to get a good deal on them too so I'll just have to wait. Then, I'm also going to go to the junkyards more often and try to get a hood that is strait because mine has this dent down by the bumber when I got into my accident. Josh unbent it, but it looks like shit now so someday I decided to just get the whole thing repainted, that way I'll have a strait hood and I'm also getting headlight covers too cause mine are bent too so I'll have a very nice car after I get it repainted. So thats the plan as of yet so we'll see what happens! 8/8/02 Went to the junkyard-my favorite place! I found a new steering wheel, mine was sort of rough looking. Then I also got two fuel rails that we are going to polish up and try to sell on Ebay, but I don't know if they will sell because I saw like 3 of them on their with no bids but they weren't polished. I also got the center vents out of three of them so I can do the custom center vent gauge mod and try to sell those too. Who knows!? I washed my baby today and took a bunch of pics. She looks really good! 8/3/02 Wow! I just figured out how to use this text box thing, shweet! So I guess I'm going to start a journal about my car's progress and stuff. As of right now, she is running ok. I know I have a huge ass leak. I am getting so sick of having to replace all these fuckin gaskets! My new Eprom ECU seems to have helped a whole lot, so my old one was shot, obviously. Oh, and my knock LED is on again, I'm sort of pissed about that. I thought the new computer would fix that little problem but it must be something else, I'll let Josh figure it out! After I get the knock problem figured out, I'll up the boost. Josh said he is going to get me a pocket logger as soon as his car sells! I can't wait! Then I'll finally be able to figure out what the hell is wrong with her.
