| I was born and raised on a small farm in Central Kentucky near the town of Ruddles Mill. I grew up in a family of writers and I began writing prose and poetry almost as soon as I could put pen to paper. It is just something that seems to me to be as natural as breathing. I was educated at Morehead State University where I, eventually, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I do not write poetry with any particular theme or form in mind. Sonnets and whatnot are nice and I will occasionally dabble with one form or another because it is important to understand as much of your art form as you can. But mostly my words are too wild and loose to be tied down to such tame nicities. The whole world is a potential source of inspiration to me, particularly nature and animals. I identify strongly with animals on both an emotional and spiritual level. Which is why my poems so often speak from their point of view, so you can expect lots of those. I am a fur, and though I do not intend for this page to center around that it is an important aspect of who I am and it does have a tendancy to influence my art so I think it may be worth mentioning. Thank you for your interest in my webpage and I hope you enjoy your stay. --Rabbitswift |
