First I would ask this of you: Assume nothing.
I can't really tell you what a fur is, to be honest. Not and deliver a fair or accurate description. There is no easy or simple definition of what it means to be a fur and everyone who is a fur brings his or her own definitions and ideas into the mix. We are a diverse group ranging from people who just have an interest in anthropomorphic art and/or literature to people, like myself, who feel a deeper spiritual bond to an animal or animals. As has been said many times, ask ten furs what it means to be furry and you'll get twenty different answers. The animals with which I personally identify {my "phenotypes", in other words though I realize this is not exactly the proper use of the term.} are the Eastern Spotted Skunk {Spilogale Putorius} and the Swift Fox {Vulpes Velox}.
