Rabat Depiro earn Malta Promotion to Challenge I

Rabat Depiro�s victory in the playoffs saw the local champions finishing off joint first with the Slovak squad of KPH Raca. This mean that Malta has now been promoted to participate in the EUROHOCKEY CLUB CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE I which will be held next year and in which Rabat Depiro would again be eligible to represent Malta as they are the current reigning champions for season 2005/06.

Memorable Season (indeed!!) for Rabat Depiro Hockey Club

 

Season 2005/06 was a memorable season for the club by winning all 4 competitions of the Hockey Association Malta, a clean sweep! and securing the promotion to a higher division at European Club competitions. The club equaled all records in local Hockey by winning the national league for 5 consecutive years including 3 consecutive doubles (National League & KO) and after being the first club who ventured in competing at European level, Rabat became also the first club to gain a promotion.
