Two men stranded in a desert had three containers: a 14 gallon, a 9 gallon, and a 5 gallon. The 14 gallon was filled with water and the other two were empty. They decided their best course of action was to divide the water, 7 gallons each, and take off in different directions. What is the most efficient way (least amount of pourings) for them to divide the water?
