On July 8th of our vacation, we decided to take a day tour to Altun Ha. The mayan ruins are located on the mainland of Belize. Here are some pictures of the mayan site of Altun Ha. |

This sign is posted before you walk up the pathway to get into plaza A of the Altun Ha site. It was $10BZE ($5 USD)to get in. |

This is the temple of the Wind god. It was on your right as you walk into plaza A. Some people climbed those stairs and stood at the top. I didn't. I wish I had. That would have been cool. |

On the right is a picture of what the Mayan God that had the rain god temple built must have looked like. It is the black rock that has the face in it. This was behind the rain god temple. Very cool stuff! |

This is us in front of the 2nd Sun God temple. It is the temple of Kinich Ahau. This temple is located in Plaza B. This is the temple that you can go to the top of (using the stairs on the side) and see the entire Altun Ha site. |

Here is Wyler on the top of Kinich Ahau's temple. The jungle is off the back side of the temple. He was a foot higher than I was in this picture. |

Behind me is Plaza B of the Altun Ha site. I wasn't standing very close to the edge. It was too high for me. You can tell how high we are by just looking around. |
