Are you ready for the new shit?

8-03 Latte, anyone?

Buy a new VW Beetle, get a 'free' IPod. I think they're calling this package 'Yipee for Yuppies'.
Speaking of yuppies I can't wait until I live in Seattle again. Or atleast west west west. But NW Washington has some friggin kick-arse geography, and I can stand the demographics too. I keep thinking about riding my motorcycle out there, hehe. I know too many roads around here... today Monkey and I were on White Bear and I saw a deer off to the side of the road. I was going to get out of the car and chase it and shoot it good, but I looked out my window once stopped and saw lots, and lots, of poison ivy. So I just shouted it and shot blindly. (BB pistol). It looked frightened. Terribly frightened.
I had a decent weekend, though I'm really looking forward to having my bike 100% and it's been really up and down. It's still doing the starting thing (just actually starting now when the button does work), which I need to fix. I think I'll do that this week, along with tackling my wheel bearing... well nah, forget the wheel bearing since I don't have insurance on it anyway.
I just cooked a few of the red potatoes I bought. I added garlic powder, but it went on a little heavier than I expected. Eh, it tastes great and I'm not kissing anyone tonight anyway. I love eating. I said that on Friday, while I was eating steak on my lunch break. Emily came over and cooked it for me, it was totally rocking. As was the accompanying ceasar salad. I had good food this afternoon as well, again with Emily but also Bo and Monkey. We all had burger cravings, so we went to the TGIFridays in Berkshire.. which had unfortunately turned into a Ruby Tuesdays. However, the burgers were great. Bo and I got the colossal burgers, two patties, triple bun... friggin 17 oz of meat. (but good meat, this isn't BK or something). It was gooood :)
I intended to do a long ride today.. leaving when Emily went to work around 3, and just heading north and getting good and lost. Exactly as Emily left, it started raining, and went on and off the rest of the day, at times relatively hard. Bah humbug. It's okay though, because my chain is whacked so arguably I should or shoudln't be riding until my new chain comes. I can't wait for the new chain though, should be super sweet :). It's a little early to be replacing a chain (you can get 20k miles out of them, I have 13.7k), but I don't think I took good enough care of it. I thought cleaning it involved taking it off (you use Kerosene) and with my new one I am going to lube it more often. To boot I was running it a good bit too tight. The book says 1-1.4 inches of freeplay, right? So I read that as the amount of movement in the chain. Well, it turns out it's 1-1.4 inches of FREEplay... like, slack. Lesson learned. The new chain is an upgrade anyway, and will be gold with black rollers - oooh. I'm thinking with the chain and sprocket blinging, I probably will end up polishing my rim lips this winter, or maybe sooner. Hell maybe I'll do it while I'm installing the chain anyway. We'll see :P
Looks like Mike won't be here for but a few more weeks. Amen to that. What was weird was that on Friday he wasn't bothering me at all. Well comparatively at all. I still wondered what the hell grammar did to him as a child to make him abuse it so several times, but you can't really expect not to listening to him talk. It's horrible. I think it was an attitude change on my part, for some reason I was a lot more laid back and he didn't bother me as much. I still burnt him really well once though, lol. A few days ago he was driving a minivan into a bay and nailed one of the arms of the lift with the FR tire... BAM he puts a hole in the sidewall, tire is ruined. He says 'I can't believe I just did that.. did I do that?' I told him, 'Well I wasn't driving it..'. [he bought a new tire for it, yada yada.. actu Anyway, on Friday morning I was pulling the hubcaps off of this POS Hyundai, and as the last came off one of the little tabbie things broke. Whatever, 2 were already broken off, didn't matter. He's in the office and says 'Ooh, breakin them high dollar hubcaps, eh?' and does his little redneck laugh (ask Jeff, it's like pushing a button that says 'murder Mike', *shudder*). I just replied, without stopping my work, "Well, atleast I didn't blow a tire", then walked over to the other side of the car and started pulling lugnuts (airguns are impossible to talk over). Lol it was pretty good.
Well, I'm getting kinda tired and I want to read more before bed, so I'm outta here. Sleep well if you're reading this at night, hope you did if you aren't.
