Very little is known about Matt. Mainly because he speaks very little English. Born in Poland, he became a big fan of Polka. At the age of three he recieved his first drum set. Not only could he play along with ANY punk song, he started to play along to country music. It was not until later when he discovered grunge.
Always the small guy, Matt strived to fit in. He got his butt kicked everyday, and wanted it to stop. So, he decided to do something about it. Yes, Matt turned to drugs. Now these are not your everyday aerosol cans that Matt turned to...he instead turned to LSD.
He really knew nothing about LSD, yet it got him friends. He became one of the guys, well, the druggies that is. At the age of nine, Matt had tried every possible drug out there, including Oragano...that was a mistake, yet he claims that it gave him quite the buzz. If life did not turn around for this young man, he would eventually die a drug addict, more than likely withing the year.
After selling his drum set for an acid sheet, Matt realized that he had a problem. It was not that he hated himself, he hated society. Society had done this to him, so he stopped letting society play a part in his life. When his parents saw that he had a problem, they sent him to re-hab. According to many, the problem layed within his music taste - Polka. It has been scientifically proven that young men who listen to Polka tend to become drug addicts. His parents bought him a new drum set, and then demanded that he find a new type of music to listen to. So, he picked grunge.
Little eleven year old Matt became obsessed with Seattle's own Nirvana. His parents were so happy with this change that they actually moved him to Seattle. For the next few years, he would live alone, listening to Seattle bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam. However, when grunge died, so did Matt's personality.
All little Matt knew about was grunge music. And when Kurt Cobain was murdered, he lost all hope of ever becoming a successful musician. During this depressive state, Matt turned to an old friend...heroin. Just like Nirvana's own Cobain, Matt thought he would find a better life in a siringe. The next five years of Matt's life are a blank to him, but this is all he had to say about them.

Please keep in mind that Matt speaks very little English. This is why it was so hard to get him in R2...
However, this was once again, just a phase in his life. Joseph came across Matt as he was drying out. The two got along great, mainly because they both had a love for grunge, and grunge died many years ago. Eventually, Joseph got Matt into R2 to replace their departed drummer who stayed in Japan. He joined R2 at the age of 22, the youngest to date!
As of right now, Matt is learning English. He knows some words from song lyrics, but nothing more. However, he is learning rapidly. He is officially the new drummer of R2!
And that is the life of Matt Husted. It was not a charmed life, yet who really cares? Matt liked his life, so nothing else mattered. He is still short and still does some marijuanna on the side. Nothing will ever change...
