Equipment Review
Here's some brief review on the equipment that I own.
Left: Garmin eTrex
Right: Garmin GPS12
Tasco 7x50 Binoculars with Compass Sights
These two handheld GPS are mainly for hiking and land navigation, but works very well with marine navigation too.
Armed with a nautical chart and programmed to the correct map datum and co-ordinate settings, these GPS can basically bring you to anywhere your craft can take you to.

They're simple to use, battery operated, and best of all, they don't require any troublesome installations.

Both of these units are still available for sale in Singapore. Of course, there are more advanced models available. Contact me more more info on where to purchase them.
I've hunted a lot of places before managing to find a good price for this pair of Bino. They're waterproof and rugged. It's no doubt a cheap alternative to the Steiner models, but it works and serves it purposes.

The built-in compass sights, with scales provides easy calculations for judging of distance and range. Ideal for navigation and adventure freaks like me.
