100% Cotton.
First quality, pre-washed and ironed quilt shop fabric ONLY.
Anything less will be returned unswapped.
BACKGROUND
Unbleached Muslin
COLORS
Whatever you think your BIRDIES will like.
EMBELLISHMENTS
You may embellish your houses with any kind of decorations you like
AS LONG AS THEY WILL WITHSTAND WASHING.
No paint or glue please.
PATTERN CONSTRUCTION
The pattern can be the construction method of your choice:
Applique (either machine or hand stitched)
Paper-Pieced
Traditional Pieced
If you choose to do fusible applique, the edges MUST be secured with either
a SATIN STITCH, FEATHER STITCH, BLANKET or BUTTONHOLE STITCH.
NO PAINT TO SECURE THE EDGES PLEASE!

BLOCK SIZE
This is a SAMPLER swap. Block sizes can be 6 1/2-12 1/2 "unfinished".
Be sure to use a 1/4 inch seam allowance so that your blocks will finish at 6-12 inches.
Even a 6 1/2X12 1/2 would be fun!
NUMBER OF BLOCKS
Make no more than 30 blocks, with no more than 9 alike. 
Be sure to keep one for yourself.
PACKAGING AND MAILING
Please put a self stick label on each block...NO PINS!  Put all of your blocks in a large
ZIP LOCK BAGGIE with "to" and "from" information in the baggie
in case there is a tear in the outer mailer. 
Put the same postage IN STAMPS as you used to mail the blocks to me.
The post office will not accept metered postage on the return envelope.
Email me when you are ready to send your blocks and I will reply with my snail mail address.
