Adding Outer Boarder

Please contact me at [email protected] if this part confuses you (mitered corners or preparing for applique)
1. Join the tan print boarders to the quilt using mitered corners.  Press seam allowances tws boarders; then stitch corner seams.
2. Prepare bias strips, so they are 3/8" wide
3. Fuse hearts to baskets.  Center a basket over each mitered corner.  Tuck ends of 2 bias strips under the top edge of each basket.  Fuse baskets in place.
4. Referring to picture, baste vines in gentle curves along sides of quilt/.  Pin tulips and tulip tips at ends of vines at center of each quilt side, spacing tulips approx. 1 " apart.  (Trim ends of vines if necessary.)  Fuse tulips and tulip tips in place.
5. Fuse 5 leaves, 4 cherries, 1 bird and wing, and 1 star flower and flower center along each vine as shown.  Birds should face toward center of quilt sides.
6. Buttonhole-stitch around each applique piece by hand or by machine
