1. Mark quilting designs on quilt top. In quilt shown bird template was used to mark quilting design in C squares. For inner border, leaf template was used to mark leaves on either side of a 3/8"-wide vine
2. Divide backing fabric into 2 (1 5/8-yard) lengths. Cut 1 piece in half lengthways. Discard 1 narrow panel. Sew remaining narrow panel to 1 side of wide panel.
3. Layer backing, batting, quilt top; baste. Quilt as desired. Bind the quilt and put on a sleeve.
