Since the Site Specific project last year Quill have been involved in a poetry and paintings experiment , by joining up with the local Artist Guild in Great Yarmouth and surplying them with poetry which they portrayed in various medium. ie paint and collage.
The results were spectacular and on February 6th Quill members were invited to their meeting at Christchurch Great Yarmouth to judge the best paintings.
The winning paintings that best portrayed the poetry, were
"Gypsy of the mind" ( Poem by Fiona) and "Memories" ( poem by Sue) and "The Market" ( poem by Susan)
Our photograph and an article about the event was in the local paper. The artists were 1st prize Maggie Dawson , 2nd prize Peter Benge and 3rd prize Marion Auger .
