Path of Power in
Combat
Quite literally, this is the Path of War as it is often called. This path
is taught only to those who are to become the warriors of the Tremere, though
others have learned its secrets.
[1] Eyes of Combat
This power gives the thaumaturge heightened mental attributes while in combat.
Any thaumaturge who employs this power, gains enhanced senses in the midst
of combat, she is able to think faster, more clearly, and can comprehend
the focus of the battle with more resolve than normally possible.
System: After activating the Eyes of Combat, the thaumaturge then spends
one blood point. Each success on the activation roll then adds one die to
either Perception, Wits, or Intelligence (she is able to raise these Attributes
higher than her "generation max" if she so wishes, and if she has gained
enough successes). The effects last only until combat is concluded, once
all her opponents are defeated, the thaumaturge's Attributes return to normal.
[2] Blood Weapon
When the thaumaturge attains this power, she chooses a specific melee weapon.
This becomes her True Weapon. The weapon can be anything from a club to a
katana, as long as it is not a thrown or ranged weapon. With the Blood Weapon,
She can call her True Weapon at any given moment to her side. This is very
useful in getting around those nasty metal detectors at airports, or especially
zealous bodyguards.
System: The thaumaturge spends a blood point, the player then rolls activation
of the Thaumaturgical Path as normal. The True Weapon then appears in the
character's hands. The distance between the thaumaturge and her True weapon
is limited only by the fact that the Weapon must be in an area where it is
night.
[3] Empowerment
With this level of the Path of Power in Combat, the thaumaturge may imbue
her personal energy into her True Weapon, making it even more lethal.
System: The thuamaturge spends a point of Willpower, then rolls to activate
the power. Each success adds one die to the character's damage pool for the
duration of the scene.
[4] Body of the Warrior
This power augments the thaumaturge's body similar to the way Eyes of Combat
augments her mind.
System: The thaumaturge spend two blood points, the player then rolls Willpower
normally. Each success gained on the activation roll adds a die to all Physical
Attributes. The effects last for one scene.
[5] Rage of Ares
This is a truly awesome power in that it grants the already lethal thaumaturge
the ability to cause aggravated damage with her True Weapon. In addition,
the thaumaturge can shoot forth a bolt of pure energy from her true enemy,
that sears flesh and bone.
System: The character activates this power normally, each success rolled
is a turn that damage from the True Weapon is considered aggravated. This
damage is only used if an attack connects and causes damage. Further, with
the expenditure of a point of Willpower, the thaumaturge can fire a bolt
of blue energy from her True Weapon causing damage equal to her permanent
Willpower rating. This damage is aggravated, and uses one of the total from
her original activation score. Also, to hit her target with the bolt of energy,
the player must roll Perception + Firearms (difficulty 8). |
