Html can be fun granted you find
the right tutorial. There is software that writes
the html code for you as you design, but I still
prefer notepad.
FrontPage wasn't as hard as I
thought it would be, although WebEasy is a little
simpler to work with. Try opening your notepad
and type in this code:

Save as "sample.htm" (remember where you saved it.)

Look for the file through "My Computer"
depending on your browser
the icon is a big blue E (Explorer).
Click the icon to display in browser
It's just a blank white page but if you add to
the body tag bgcolor="black" or "red"
save and view the changes.
There's text, images and lots more to edit to your
taste.
Dave's website is loaded with information and
easy to follow.
Draac's web page is a good place to start.
JavaScript can add a bit of flare to your site. There
are many sites to choose from
The JavaScript Souce is
a great page as well
Dynamic Drive and
JavaScripts.
There are many things to create that don't involve
being on line. I designed a tutorial for a friend,
and a children's storybook for his son that I burned
on a disk. They still get alot of use from them.
You are only limited by your imagination.
