Ross Clark Born: Rutherglen, 7th February 1983 Signed: on an X-form; fully signed July 2001 from Queen's Park U-18s Height: 5ft 9in Mass: 11st Debut: vs. Clydebank ( as substitute ), 20/03/01 QP League Career Apps Goals 2000/01 ( 4 ) - 2001/02 ( 2 ) - A central midfield dynamo, Clark's tirelessly tenacious displays in the middle of the park have endeared him to at least some of the Queen's Park support. An unobtrusive sort of player, who does most of his best work in the less elaborate parts of the play, Ross broke through last season, and capitalised on Tony Quinn's absence to consolidate his position in the side. With Quinn still out, Clark should play often this term and his bravery and efficiency will be invaluable.

Danny Ferry Born: Glasgow, 31st January 1977 Signed: from Queen's Park Under-18s, June 1995 Height: 5ft 7in Mass: 11st 4lb Debut: vs. Caledonian Thistle ( as substitute ), 11/11/95 QP League Career Apps Goals 1995/96 9 (8) 5 1996/97 21 (11) 7 1997/98 7 (19) 1 1998/99 31 (4) 1 1999/2000 26 (4) 1 2000/01 28 (1) - 2001/02 26 (1) 1 The longest serving player at the club since Ross Caven's retirement, Danny is very much in Ross's mould - an out and out trier, whose enthusiasm for the game shines through and makes him the ideal choice to be club captain. After a shaky start to the 2002/03 season, Danny has been superb ever since, playing mainly in midfield or wide on the right. Last season, he was mainly fielded at right back. Started his career at Hampden as a forward, and was actually top scorer for 1996/97 with 7 goals. His main claim to fame is that he is the gran's cousin's grandson of our very own Martin Kelly!

David McCallum Born: Bellshill, 7th September 1977 Signed: from Partick Thistle, January 2003 Height: 5ft 11in Mass: 10st 10lb Debut: vs. Albion Rovers, 08/02/03 It's not often that Queen's sign a player directly from an SPL club and the fans' hopes in McCallum's ability will be high. He is sure to provide useful cover for the left-hand side of the pitch, possibly in a defensive sense, but will not have come with any intention of making up squad numbers. However, he has not played for some time and will have to regain his fitness. David moved from Motherwell to Stirling Albion in 1998 and spent two seasons at Forthbank before John Lambie snapped him up. David made a total of 26 appearances as Thistle won the Second Division in his first season ( including 2 against Queen's ). Injury however meant that he played no part in their rise to the SPL, and Thistle have decided it best for him to move on.
