Damiano returned to Hampden in the summer of 2002. He had been in Italy studying, and playing lower league football. Originally with Kilmarnock, he joined the Spiders in 1998 but failed to seriously impress John McCormack. Had a more successful time with East Fife. Immediately secured a place in the centre of defence, and Damiano would have been ever-present in 2002/03 but for the odd injury. His final appearance tally was impressive. 2003/04 didn't see Damiano play as often due to injury. Damiano is a rock-solid defender, superb in the tackle, commanding aerially and emphatic when clearing. A successful Queen's side requires Agostini in the team and playing the way he usually does. Started well this season before picking up a bad shin injury at Cowdenbeath. Will be a certainty to return to first-team football once fit again as he is an essential player at the heart of the Queen's Park defence.

                            Steven Fallon

Born: Paisley, 8th May 1979
Signed: from Arbroath, August 2002
Height: 5ft 8in
Mass: 11st 6lb
Debut: vs. East Stirlingshire, League Cup, 07/09/02

Fallon was on the books at Dundee United but was released and joined Arbroath in the summer of 2001. Failed to win a regular place at Gayfield and was placed on the list before agreeing a deal for his contract to be ended. Has figured so far in various defensive positions for Queen's, chiefly in the centre of defence in a sweeper role, and has established himself as a regular. Player of the Year for 2003, Steven is a composed player who is capable of thwarting most of what opposition forwards have to offer.

Ross Conlin played in the Strollers last season after his step-up from the under-18s and was rewarded with the Player of the Year trophy. Brannigan handed him a first-team chance in what was a forgettable game but Ross looked assured enough playing in defence.
