1. What is Ultimate?
|

|
Ultimate is a non=contact sport that requires a combination of sgility, speed, quickness and endurance to play. It is played on grass and combines the best elements of soccer, football, and basketball. Still confused? 2. How long has Queen’s Ultimate been an officially sanctioned Competitive Club?

Thanks to the efforts of Lisa Eyles and other helpful Queen’s Staff, Ultimate Frisbee was officially recognized as a competitive club in 1997. In 1999, the women’s team was granted seperate sanctioning.

3. How long is the season, and what kind of time commitment is there?
|
|
|
|
The season can be summerized as a “short blitz”. Tryouts begin the first week after frosh week, and the team is chosen after the first week. From then on, one can expect to travel away for tournaments every other week, until the middle of October where the season ends after the National University tournament. There will be at least two practices a week, and possible other time commitments involving strategy discussions or fitness training. The friends you make during the season will continue throughout the school year.
