Keiko, Linali, and I were in our room having a conversation with each other. We decided that it was time that just the three of us talk about our normal lives for a change, since we hadn�t done it in about 2 months. I wanted to have a normal conversation with the two, but they kept bringing up the same subject over and over. �So, are you and Chace together now?!� asked Keiko.

�How was the kiss, romantic?!� exclaimed Linali. I sweat-dropped as they ranted off with a bunch of questions and comments.

�Oh, how cool! What a dramatic relationship!� said Keiko with sparkly eyes.

�Yeah, Milli. You and Chace are in love, but you�re being pulled apart by the hands of death!� said Linali. You could almost see hearts in her eyes! I finally spoke up,

�Listen, you two! I don�t know what�s going on with Chace and I. Right now I�m just confused. I don�t know if that one kiss meant anything. Maybe he didn�t know what else to do so he panicked. He most likely doesn�t see me in that way okay?� The room fell silent, then Linali finally stood up and said,

�^_^Then tomorrow, Keiko and I will ask!�

�Yup! Tomorrow, at school, we�ll ask Chace what he feels for you and-� said Keiko until I cut her off.

�Don�t bother. We don�t have school tomorrow. Something about Christmas break,� I said. �We get a whole two weeks of school off, but the day after Christmas, we�re heading to the Lantern World. There, no one will worry because at home, I feel so strong. It�s almost like the Lantern World restores my energy no matter what condition it is in. It will give me more time to live. Will you guys watch my broom for me. And when I die, will you burn me then spread my ashes in the meadow with some Sakura from Earth?� Keiko and Linali frowned.

�Don�t talk like that, Milli!� said Linali, looking like she was about to cry.

�We�re going to find that bastard who put this spell on you way before you die! We wont let you, you hear me?!� Keiko said. I nodded. We all heard a knock at the door. I went to go answer it with Keiko and Linali right behind me. When I opened the door, Chace was standing right there, Mitsue and Fi behind him. I looked straight into his eyes, but couldn�t speak. Chace finally broke the silence saying,

�H-H-Hi, Milli.� -He said hi, Milli! Pull yourself together. There�s nothing different! So, he kissed you, Big deal. Happens every day doesn�t it? Say hi already- I thought to myself.

�Um, Hello, Chace,� I finally said. Keiko and Linali pulled me back, and Fi and Mitsue pushed Chace in. I stayed silent and sat on the couch.

�So, any pains?� Mitsue asked. He was supposed to report to Arinu or Junior if any pain had occurred. I shook my head no.

Later in the evening�

Fi had noticed how silent I was and pulled me over to the yard to talk. We sat down by the still, small pond.

�Is anything a matter, Milli?� He asked. � I know what my brother did can be quite shocking, but he does really care for you, even though he�s to stubborn to show it.�

�Thanks, Fi. You�re a good brother and a good friend. But I don�t think that �Chace and I� would be a good idea,� I said with a forced smile on my face.

�Why not?� Fi asked in curiosity.

�I don�t want to hurt him, and you know what I mean,� I said with a tear forming. Fi handed me a tissue.

�I know that you�re dying and there�s not a 100% chance that we can save you, Milli, but what happened in my brother�s past doesn�t change the future. He still cares for you and feelings can�t be helped, you know that.�

�But why the sudden change in feelings in a matter of weeks?� I asked.

�Don�t tell him that I knew this, but Chace always told Tommy what was going on in his life. Tommy didn�t share any information with anyone but me. You know what Chace told Tommy, Milli?� I scooted closer,

�I�m listening.�

�He said that the first time he saw you, he knew that you were the �one,�� said Fi. I looked back inside and watched Chace converse with Keiko, Linali, and Mitsue. �I�ll be right back, Milli.� Fi went inside. I looked at the frozen pond, then I felt a jacket being put on my shoulders.

�It�s pretty cold out here. It is snowing,� said Chace with a warm smile. I snuggled in the jacket,

�Thanks, Chace, I�m sorry I�ve been so quiet today,� I said to him. Chace sat right next to me,

�You shouldn�t be sorry. I�m the one that lost control of myself and kissed you. I should be the one who�s sorry,� he said.

�So then, that kiss was just an action then?� I asked, afraid of the answer.

�What? No, of course not. The truth is I- I really like you, Milli.�

�Really?�

�Really.� With that said, I could finally relax. I sighed and leaned on Chace�s shoulder. He felt so warm, that I almost fell asleep on him. He softly shook me and said, � You need to get inside so you don�t catch a cold.� I nodded and went inside. After the guys left to go pack for the Lantern World journey, I headed straight to bed and fell asleep quickly.

*In my dream�*

�Milli, child, you must go before time runs out,� said a voice that sounded like my Grandfather. He died when I was around seven. What a great wizard he was. (But I still never got how my mom didn�t become a witch!) I looked around,

�Grandpa? Grandpa, is that you?� I asked.

�Yes, Dear, it is,� he said. I still couldn�t see him.

�But�But how?! You�re dead!� I exclaimed.

�This is a dream. Anything is possible.�

�I miss you, Grandpa. If you were still around, I bet that we didn�t have to move to Earth.�

�I miss you too, child, but you weren�t so unfortunate now. Milli, you must make haste and go into the Lantern World. My soul will do its best to hinder Magenta Lantern from getting to you.�

�I know our friends that have been captured are in danger and the Lantern World has completely fallen apart, but I promise you, the day after tomorrow. For tomorrow is a holiday called Christmas that is precious to all Earthlings.�

�I understand. I have one last message to give: Beware of the plant known as mistletoe!�

�I�ll will keep that in mind,� I smiled, �Grandfather, I hope to hear from you again. I feel that soon we will be reunited. But you know that already don�t you.�

�Now what kind of grandpa would I be if I didn�t know of my granddaughter�s health?�

�Heh.�

*when I woke up�*

I slowly opened my eyes then saw a big head staring right at me, �GOOD MORNING, MILLI IT�S CHRISTMAS ^_^� said Arinu. I shrieked before realizing that it was her,

�Ahh! Don�t do that!� I said. Arinu just smiled,

�Well, get up then, sleepy head. This is the only day we get to enjoy ourselves. Because tomorrow where are we going?�

�To the Lantern World,� I moaned.

�That�s right! Now, up we go,� she said lifting me up. I got dressed and walked into the living room. Everyone was in the living room, including our parents. I must have been really tired since I was the last to wake up. I went over and sat by Keiko and Linali.

�About time you woke up, Milli. Has your heart been hurting that bad?� Linali asked. I didn�t want to answer, but I knew that I had to.

�Well, the truth is, ever since I came here on Earth, it has been hurting more than usual,� I said.

�Do you think that is why you have all of sudden been weak?� Anh asked.

�Well the Lantern World has more pure air than Earth,� said Junior.

�Approximately 15% more pure air may I add,� said Arinu.

�Wow, isn�t she pretty smart,� said Fi, �You think she can help me on my Geometry?� Chace laughed,

�I guess if you ask her.� I sighed and looked at the ground,

�Is everything okay, Milli?� My mother asked. I looked up,

�Uh, Yeah mom, everything if fine. It�s just��

�Yes?� everyone asked, eager to hear what I had to say.

�It�s nothing. Grandpa just came into my dreams. That�s all,� I said.

�Really? What is it that he wanted?� Junior asked.

�He just told me to hurry home before Tzu-Chi causes more destruction. He also warned me to stay away from a certain plant�� I tried to think, but nothing came to mind. �I can�t remember the name at the moment.�

In the evening again�

I sat as everyone told Christmas tales and exchanged little gifts. Chace handed me a bracelet, and I gave him a scarf. Keiko, Mitsue, and Linali gave each other each a gift. Junior and Anh did the same. I then started to feel tired once more and laid down on the couch with a blanket over me. Fi was sitting down on the floor next to me. �Hey, Fi, who are you giving your present to?� I asked.

�I don�t know yet. Heh, I only have one present and there are so many of you,� he said. I looked over and saw Arinu sitting outside, looking up at the sky.

�Arinu seems like she needs some company. Why don�t you give the gift to her?� I suggested.

�That seems like a good idea. She must miss Tsugohiko a lot,� said Fi. He went over to Arinu and I felt, myself slowly drifting off to sleep.

Ok me gonna take over a lil bit

Fi sat down right next to Arinu.

�Hey, what are you doing out here all alone, in the cold?� he asked her. Arinu sighed,

�Don�t you miss Tommy as much as I miss Tsugohiko, Fi?� she asked him, with a few tears in her eyes. �Nothing is going right for me this year. It�s like the shrines are punishing me. One of my best friends is kidnapped and the other one is dying.�

�I do miss Tommy a lot, but I know we�re going to get him back. And we�re going to get Tsugohiko back,� said Fi with a caring smile on his face. Fi took his gift and handed it to Arinu. I was a locket on a necklace chain. � Here, Arinu, we can be friends too if you�d like. When this lockets opens up, it shows you the image of what you�re longing to see at that very moment and plays a song.� Arinu clutched the locket tight, then put it on.

�Thanks, Fi, I just know we�ll be good friends,� she said, giving him a hug.

�Are you ready to come back inside now? I�m sure everyone is waiting,� said Fi. Arinu nodded and they went back in to the warmth.

Okay now back to Milli�s Point of View�

I felt myself being shaken by someone and opened my eyes. �Oh, hi, Chace,� I said, realizing who it was.

�You know, you sure have a habit of falling asleep in the most awkward places,� He said with a smile.

�*giggle* I guess you�re right, but I think that I�m well rested now,� I said. I saw Chace�s smile turn into a frown. � Huh? What�s wrong, Chace?�

�Milli, I can�t help but think that you being in Earth is bad,� said Chace with worry in his voice.

�Hey, you, don�t go worrying just yet. I�m as healthy as a horse,� I said with confidence in my voice.

�T_T Your knees get weak when you stand, so you collapse sometimes,� said Chace. I stood up and put my hands on my hips,

�I can stand just fine,� I said. I felt myself wobble. �W-Wh-Whoa!� I said with a sweat-drop falling. Chace caught me and stood me up straight.

�Milli, we all know that you should go back home,� he said holding my shoulders.

�Well it�s only one more day, the we�re off to the Lantern World, so no worries right ^_^? Now stop worrying okay?� I asked.

�Okay,� said Chace.

�Pinky promise?� I asked, holding out my pinky. Chace hesitated for a while then finally hooked his pinky with mine.

"Pinky promise,� he said. I sighed in relief and looked up, only to find myself sweat-dropped again.

�Uh, Carpet, what are you holding?� I asked. I looked like a small twigs with a few leaves and other things. Chace had a few nervous drops on his head.

�Carpet what are you doing?!� he exclaimed.

�Well, you can�t back out now, Chace. It�s tradition: If two people are under mistletoe, then they must kiss,� Said Mitsue wit a big grin on his face. It then hit me �This is the plant that Grandpa was talking about!- I said to myself. I then felt an aura coming from it, followed by the sight of teeth hiding.

�Carpet, I need to borrow you for a second,� I said, snatching, the mistletoe, hopping onto carpet, and zooming as fast as I can out of the house. I took the plant over to a vacant lot. �You can come out now. So, Tzu-Chi has sent another plant for me to fight eh?� The plant then grew, and spoke,

�I see, you human witches are smart. Well you hit right on the target, but I will destroy long before you can lay a scratch on me.�

�We shall see,� I said. I clutched my jewel and chanted the spell , �Of all the Sacred Shrines, we call upon the Shrine of Power. Grant us one wish, to be a Legendary Lantern. Grant us the Strength we need to fulfill this task!� Once again I transformed into purple Lantern. The plant threw a giant fireball at me, but I dodged it. �That�s odd� When I become a Lantern, I feel so much more energetic. �

�It seems you human witches have luck once in a while also, but that�s all about to change. ~Shower of Flames~� shouted the plant. A whole bunch of fireballs then shot out of the plants mouth and headed straight for me. I dodged as much as I can, but soon felt tired once again. �It looks like I have no choice-

�~Purple Bubble Beam!~� I shouted as my attack headed for the fireballs, destroying most of them.

�Heh, heh, you missed one,� said the plant. I breathed heavily then looked up and said,

�Huh?� I then looked behind me to see what looked like the largest fireball of them all heading straight for me, and me having no energy left to dodge or attack. �Ahhhhhh!� I put my arms in front of me and closed my eyes shut. Then I heard

�~Sky Electric Wave! ~� It struck the last fireball and destroyed it. �Milli, are you okay?� Arinu asked.

�I�m fine. Did you come here alone?� I said, with Carpet helping me up.

�Of course! I wasn�t going to wait for someone to figure out what was going on. I�m not going to lose another friend!� Arinu shouted, with a few tears.

�Oh, Arinu,� I said giving her a hug. �You�re not going to lose any friends. And I�m going to make sure of that!�

�Sorry to break up your reunion, but ready for the next round? HA HA� said the plant. �~Super Shower of Flames! ~� Another batch of flaming balls came out, except there were more and they were larger.

�Oh, no! We can only dodge and attack so many, Milli! What are we going to do? If we don�t destroy that plant He�ll just spit out more fireballs that are even larger,� said Arinu. Arinu and me attacked as many balls as we could.

�-Purple Bubble Beam! ~�

�-Sky Electric Wave! ~� When then lost our energy to give out more blows.

�Oh no!�

�Milli! Arinu!� said the voice of the twins. Chace was in his Lantern form. Chace went over to attack the fireballs as Fi came running towards us.

�~Blade of Light~� we heard from Chace. Fi was still running towards us when we saw a giant fireball heading straight for him. �Fi, watch out!� Arinu and I shouted.

�Agh!� we heard from Fi. Then once again, a chain with a jewel on it came over to Fi. �Huh?�

�The spell, Fi! Say the Spell!� Arinu shouted.

�Right,� he said. Fi clutched the jewel and started to chant the spell, �Of all the Sacred Shrines, we call upon the Shrine of Power. Grant us one wish, to be a Legendary Lantern. Grant us the Strength we need to fulfill this task!� Fi then transformed into Teal lantern. Once again, Arinu and I saw a fireball heading right towards us.

�~Boomerang Blade!� said the voice of Junior. �My, have you wasted all your energy already?� We nodded yes. �No matter. ~Shield Force~,� said Junior, creating a shield to protect the three of us. Chace destroyed all the fireballs and called out to Fi,

�It�s your turn, Fi! Destroy the plant!� Fi nodded,

�~Serpent Dragon Typhone! ~� Then a body of water shaped as a dragon destroyed the plant, ending the battle. I sighed,

�It�s over.� Then I felt a sharp pain on my chest. �Ngh!� I started to breath heavily once more. Chace held me in his arms,

�Milli, are you alright?� I held onto to Chace�s kimono, tightening my grip as the pain got stronger. I started to sweat and tears started to fill my eyes, until I finally gave in,

�It�It�It hurts!� I shouted, now crying in Chace�s arms.

�We need to get her to the Lantern World,� said Junior, taking me from Chace. �Hold on tightly now, Arinu,� he said. Then we teleported off to the Lantern World.
