I’m narrating for a little bit ppls^_^
Chace, Fi, and Mitsue were sitting on a bench, waiting for the girls. “Okay, I know it’s Saturday and everything, but why are we going shopping? I don’t remember switching my gender,” said Chace to Mitsue who was waiting patiently.
“You heard Junior,” said Mitsue holding the box, “We all have to stick together with this ummm, box. And the girls can use some normal clothes.”
“I really don’t think that wardrobe the issue right now. Why don’t we just focus on getting Milli’s powers back to the proper owner?” asked Chace.
“That is still on our ‘to do list’. We should of asked Junior about that. Why do you care so much all of a sudden anyway?” asked Mitsue, now curious.
“Oh, why bother asking? It’s so obvious. My brother is developing a little crush heh heh,” said Fi.
“What was that?!” said Chace, grabbing Fi by the collar.Fi and Mitsue laughed while they watched Chace’s face turn red.
Back to Milli’s point of view… see that wasn’t so long
“Okay why are we going shopping with them?! It’s bad enough that we have the same school, classes, not to mention the fact that I have to sit right next to Chace!” I complained as we were walking to the park to meet the guys.
“Just what do you have against Chace anyway, Milli?” Keiko asked.
“The Guy has my powers! *_* + ” I said.
We finally reached the boys. We stood about a meter behind Chace without him knowing as he was going off about something,
“Listen! I’m not developing anything that has to do with Milli Saoshima! She’s so violent! I bet she’s more violent than a crazy chimp! She always has to take things so seriously. Someone needs to teach her how to lighten up for crying out loud! Wait, she’s too stubborn for that! Are we sure that she’s a ‘she’? she can be a boy impersonating a girl you know!”
Fi and Mitsue tried their best to shut him up, but that was no use. They just sweat dropped right on the spot.
“ So I’m a boy huh?!” I said with a big vain on my forehead.
All you can from Chace was an “ EEP!”
I almost felt tears coming, but I stopped them, “ YOU… YOU… YOU SHALLOW JERK!!! If I hadn’t transferred my powers to you, I would-“
“Well you did. End of story,” said Chace calmly. I started Grrring like a dog.
“WOULD YOU TWO CRAM IT?!” shouted Mitsue with a big head. Chace and I just stared with huge sweat drops on our heads.
“Now why are our clothes indifferent from everyone else’s?” Linali asked examining her dress.
“Well, it looks like you girls are going to some kind of western wedding ceremony,” said Fi.
“A what?” I asked.
“He means that you girls are dressed a little too formal,” said Mitsue.
I was puzzled for a moment. Then I looked at my dress, “You mean these old rags?” I asked.
“Old rags? You mean all of those dresses are not even close to formal in the Lantern World?” asked Fi.
“How are those things rags?” said Chace, “ Rags are not supposed to attract people into looking at your breasts,” he said pointing at my chest.
I took a huge bolder and threw it on his head, “ Then why are you looking there, you lecher?!”
“Would you two just put a cork in it?!” Mitsue shouted once again.
“Well, rags or not, those clothes are still too formal,” said Fi. They all took us into a building where a bunch of different clothing was. It seemed kind of weird. What were clothes doing in a building?
“Umm… what are we doing here?” I asked.
“You girls are going to pick out some clothes that are more ‘earthly’. ” said Mitsue. The guys dressed up. (not like that ppls! U hab dirty minds! Lol jk) I wore a red top with a white skirt. Linali wore a long, purple t-shirt with some denim shorts. Then there’s Keiko. She wore something that looked like noodles for straps on her shirt and some pink short, shorts. Next we went to a place where they sold food. Mitsue ordered us all something called crepe.
”You know I’m beginning to like Earth,” I said stuffing the food in my mouth, “this food is good!”
“You say that as though you’ve never eaten before,” said Fi.
“So she starves herself? That’s why she’s so thin and fit,” said Chace.
“And what does that mean?!” I asked.
“Do you always take compliments so well?” Chace asked.
"Compliment?! Why does everything you say have to sound so rude?!” I shouted.
“Rude?! Why you-“ before Chace could finish, we were teleported to a platform where it was pitch black, except for one speck of light shining on the platform, and we couldn’t tell how long was up or how long was down.”
“Where are we?” asked Chace.
“You are asking the wrong person,” I told Chace. Then I felt a vine grab my ankle, “Uhh!”
“Oh, so you’ve finally arrived? I see that I’ve picked up an extra,” said a familiar voice.
“Tzu-Chi! You’re behind this I see,” I said trying to find her in the dark space.
“Yes, you caught me. But it doesn’t matter anyway,” said Tzu-Chi.
“And why is that?” asked Chace also trying to locate Tzu-Chi in the pitch black.
“Because I’m going to kill her now of course. Bye, bye, Purple Lantern,” said Tzu-Chi with an evil laugh.The vine started to pull me.
“ Milli!” Chace said. I found myself screaming after feeling myself being dragged off the platform. Right before I was about to go down for good, Chace grabbed my arms, “Just hang on, Milli!”
“Chace?! You idiot! What are you doing?!” I shouted.
“What does it look like? I’m saving you!” He said playing tug-o-war with the giant plant controlling the vine.
“If you keep this up, you’ll be dragged down too!”
“I’ll take my chances!” Chace all of a sudden whistled as hard as he can.
“What can your broom do right now?!”
“Who said I was whistling for my broom?”
“Huh?”
Suddenly a blue, magic carpet came zooming up to Chace. (If Goku gets his nimbus, Chace gets his carpet! ^_^ lol) “ Good, carpet, you heard me. I need some help pulling up a friend of mine.” The carpet went over and grabbed Chace’s legs and started to pull.
-Did he just call me his friend? – I thought to myself.
“Hey, Milli!” said Chace.
“Yeah?”
“Does your magic have any special abilities?”
“Of course it does! Tap into your energy and make a Ki blast to demolish that overgrown vine!”
“A ki blast… I’ll give it a shot! Let go of one of my arms okay?” said Chace.
“Right, okay,” I said. I let go of Chace’s right arm and grabbed his left arm with both of my hands. I watched Chace as he was concentrating all of his energy until I finally saw a Ki forming in his hand.
“I sure hope this works, Milli. After all… I’m only using one hand.” Chace aimed the KI right at the vine, “Here it goes…” He shot the Ki blast, snapping the vine, making me fling right on top of him. I almost fainted at the scene, but Chace lifted me up a bit to see if I was awake, “Milli?”
“Huh? Uhh… Thanks, Chace,” I said with a light blush on my face. Okay so it wasn’t small.
“It was nothing. You would of did the same. Anything hurt?”
“No, everything is fine,” I said until I tried to stand up. I felt a huge pain, “ Ouch! Apparently I was wrong.”
“Let me see,” said Chace. He bent down to check my ankle. Then suddenly I felt another power surge. “Hm?” I said, “ I think…” I tested it for a minute, “My powers… I think… They’re back!”
“That’s great! I would like to celebrate, but we better get something for your ankle.” Chace lifted me onto the carpet then got on himself. “Carpet, let’s get out of here the way you came in.” Carpet started flying down from the platform.
“You think you can escape that easily do you? Attack them, my precious plant!” said the voice of Tzu-Chi. The plant started to try to whip us with its vines.
“Dodge it, Carpet!” said Chace.
- Great! I have my powers and I can’t even use them because we’re moving! – I thought to myself. When we got near the ground, the vine of the plant finally hit carpet. Chace and I flew off.
“My ankle hurts!” I said. “We’re not moving anymore. It’s time to put my powers to the test! I call upon the Shrine of Shelter! Grant me the protection I need once again! Let me put my powers to the test just once more! ~Shield Force~” The shield kept us protected for a long while. Chace was out cold. “ Carpet, please try to wake up Chace. I need his help,” I said.Carpet did some kind of solute to me, then started to slap Chace in the face. He finally woke up,
“Ouch! What was that for?!”
“I hate to bug you, but this is no time for a nap! I need your help!”
“First of all… I don’t know how to do any spells. Mitsue helps me.”
“Oh please say you’re joking!”
“Afraid not.”
I held up the shield as much as I could, but I couldn’t hold it up forever. “ No I can’t give up! I have to keep this up! Chace, no offense, but you are a sorry excuse for a wizard.” Just then, the little chest opened up. Two jewels came out. One was on a chain and the other on a silver choker-like piece. “ What in The Lantern World is going on here?” I asked.
Flashback…
Junior: “The moment you are in danger, this chest will open. Then your jewel will come out. Once it is placed on your neck, a spell will come into your mind. Be sure to recite it and you will become a Lantern. Try to keep this a secret though.”
End Flashback…
“Can it be?” I asked, “ Can we really be Lanterns?” The jewels strapped themselves onto mine’s and Chace’s necks. Then we started learning a spell. “ Chace, recite this spell with me.”
“I was hoping you’d say that,” said Chace. We both started reciting the spell together,
“Of all the Sacred Shrines, we call upon the Shrine of Power. Grant us one wish, to be a Legendary Lantern. Grant us the Strength we need to fulfill this task!” Chace and I started to transform into Lanterns. My hair let down from its two pigtails and my ears, which I was trying to hide here on Earth suddenly popped out of my head. My fake “human” ears disappeared. I found myself wearing a purple leotard at first, then a white skirt snapped onto my waist. I wore white gloves that had stars on the backhand side of them. And I had on purple boots that came all the way up to my mid- thigh. Chace was all white. He was a turban looking thing on his head. He was wearing a Samurai kind of outfit with white gloves connected to the sleeves also with stars on the backhand. He had boots that connected to his pants and had a sash hanging from his waist.
“Wow, I’m a Lantern!” I said. I started attacking the plant, “Carpet, can you take me up there?” Carpet saluted once more and lifted me up into the air, “Remember, carpet, my ankle is sprained, so I have one favor to ask… Try not to drop me.” We came up to the plant right where I could attack it. I struck my new attack at the plant, “~ Purple Bubble Beam!~” I had a direct hit on the plant. One more hit would have done it.
“May I have the last blow?” Chace asked.
“Why certainly,” I said as Carpet was taking me back down to the ground.
Chace struck his attack, “~ Blade of Light!~” he said. The plant was destroyed. “Direct hit! Now who said I was a sorry excuse for a Wizard?”
“Stuff it!” I said, “ Anyways we need to get out of here.” Suddenly we were teleported back into my room. “ Huh? Junior?!”
“Heh, I see that I got you two just in time,” said Junior. “ And look… I was right… Chace is also a Lantern.”
“Please don’t say that I’m officially stuck with that freak,” I said.
“Freak?! Well… That “Freak” just saved your butt!” said Chace.
“You call that saving?! Well… I did most of the work!” I said.
“There you go, taking all the credit.”
“I don’t think those two will ever learn how to cope with each other,” said Mitsue.Everyone let out of heavy sigh as Chace and I quarreled.
