Chronis saw what he was heading for and smirked �there you are� he said under his breath.

�There it is!� he rushed forward and entered a large clearing. A wall of fire shot up in front of him and he ran straight into it.

A shock wave threw him into a tree behind him. �OWWW MY ASS!� He sat up and rubbed his head.

�Oooh yeah!� He muttered, �Wings duh!� A pair of white wings unfolded from his back and he shot up into the air.

Then spotted the top of the flame wall. �Ah there we are!� He floated over the top of the wall and landed on the other side.

A black flaming orb sat on a pedestal in the center of the firewall circle. Chronis walked over to the pedestal and took the orb.

�Yes! Only two more to go!� Chronis exclaimed happily. Back at the city capitol Chronis bowed before the high commander.

"Sir I have completed my fourth task." Chronis said. The Dragari had been at war with another race for eons and were constantly training new warriors.

The only way to become a high commander was to complete the perfect armor, theses armors were biotechnologies created before time.

"Asciden! Come here!" A moment later Chronis' brother Asciden entered into the High Commanders dome.

�Yes commander?� he said in his echoing voice.

�It seems your brother has returned yet again with a new piece of his puzzle.� �Your final task will be to gain the last two armors at once, the light armor and the dark armor.

There will be a warrior accompanying you. I-� �Hold on! I need no one to help me!�

�No one said she would be helping you she will be there to get her armor also.� �Oh well I'm sorry then.�

�Anyways you shall be assigned to guard her and get your armor and hers.� Chronis bowed his head. �Yes sir� he said in a monotonous voice.

Chronis sat up abruptly in his bed, covered in sweat. �It�s the dreams again� he thought. He shook his head as if it would make the dreams go away �It doesn�t matter now I�ll deal with them after I get back.�

Back in the main dome every Dragari on staff was preparing for his and his �female companions� departure. He looked around for her but saw no one in the regular warrior attire.

Finally he saw someone walking down the stairs in warrior clothing. �Finally� he thought impatiently and started walking over to her. �We have to go now,�

Chronis said in his �took you long enough� tone. �Ok but uh first my name is Kiraya,� she said in a happy manner.

�Chronis� he said simply. Asciden saw the two together and walked over to them. �Kiraya may I talk to you for a moment?� Asciden asked very politely. �Uh yeah sure� Kiraya answered just as politely.

The two of them walked away and Chronis walked to the door and waited for them.

A few minutes later the two of them walked over to the gigantic doors. They then proceeded to walk to the door and stopped a few feet away. �Remember what I told you,�

Asciden told her, more as a command than a request. Kiraya nodded �Ok,� she replied sheepishly. �Finally� Chronis said, �Can we go now?� Asciden sighed,

�Yes, go.� Chronis and Kiraya turned towards the exit, the massive doors opened, and the two warriors began what would become a journey to remember forever.

As the two walked to the edge of the Dragari empires capitol, Marinakra, Chronis looked back and remembered things he hoped he never would.

He turned towards Kiraya and said, �We need to cover more ground we�ll have to fly.� Kiraya looked at him and nodded �right.�

They both unfurled their wings and lifted off the ground. �Your brother told me we have to head north towards the Insignite ruins.�

This time it was Chronis� turn to nod. The two soon became dots in the sky.

�Here we are!� Kiraya said in an optimistic tone as they landed in front of the ancient ruins. �The Insignite ruins� Chronis said in awe. The Insignite ruins were the largest structures ever built.

No one in the Dragari Empire had ever seen them before, excluding all of the high commanders of course. �Those who live behind the shadows shall be destined to greatness.� Kiraya said. Chronis looked at her �what?� he said.

�That is what the entrance says,� Kiraya replied. �Maybe I should go live in the shadows,� said Chronis under his breath. Kiraya smiled slyly and said �Chronis was that a joke?�

Chronis just stared at her and scowled. Kiraya�s smile quickly turned to a look of annoyance �Forget I asked.� Chronis and Kiraya slowly walked towards the Insignite ruins.

�This place is kind of creepy�� Kiraya said, her voice quivering. Chronis just stared at her �pansy� he thought. �I am a psychic you know,� she stated while glaring at him her eyes tapered.

�Oh great this should be fun just stay out of my head� Chronis demanded. They both turned and walked forwards up the stairs to the ruins. At the doors Kiraya stopped and slowly looked upwards.

�What now?� Chronis asked. �Um�I think this place has a bodyguard� she said, �look up� Chronis looked up and his jaw dropped.
