Here is a list of schools I go to...
- High Tech High
- Piano
- Kumon
- Karate School
- Viet School: Van Lang Education Center
High Tech High- High Tech High is a "cool" school, believe it or not. In this school, there are approximately 400 students. All the students come from different schools around San Diego, CA and even outside the city. The school is located in Point Loma, CA, in an old navy base area. In the school, there's classrooms, the library, lunch rooms, animation lab, engineering lab, great room, etc. The school is "technologically advanced". What that means is there are a lot of computers for students to access to...right now there are about 100 computers in the great room itself (the great room is kind of like a computer lab where projects are done) With 200 students to start with, at least 2 people can share one computer! Compare that to your normal school where you have more than 10 (I think...) that share one computer... The software programs are also spectacular. From AutoCAD2000 to Maya to Dreamweaver...(and so forth).
The school runs in a traditional schedule.
Monday through Friday from 8:45-3:45
Piano- Piano school is a school where I learn to play the piano (...). I go to piano school every Monday from 6:00-7:30. Every week, my bro. and I learn or review music that are being taught to us. I like learning the piano. It's real cool...
Kumon- I don't go to Kumon anymore. The facility I went
to closed down for business reasons. But, this school is highly recommended
for kids that want to enhance their english and math skills. For ex. you
are in 9th grade learning geometry...but with Kumon...you can learn Alg.
2 skills and Pre-Calculus and more! This school is known around the whold
world!
It all started in China (I think...) by a high school teacher (I think...)
name Toru Kumon. After this school started very well and many kids in
Asia are doing great in their work, the school decided to turn Worldwide.
Now it's in almost all the continents of the world.
Kumon Learning Center is located all over the US.
Karate School- This is a school where it's not just fighting. It's a school to teach us to be more independent, using self-defense, and the excersize. There are many different types of Karate...I learn Tae Kwon Do. I've been in Karate for 3-4 yrs. and I'm a brown belt.
This school that I go to runs on Friday nights. I'm in the advanced class so it runs from 7:15-8:00 PM. White belts (beginners) start at 5 PM. The older white belts start at 5:45. The yellow/orange belt start at 6:30.
Viet school- This is one of my favorite schools. Here, I learn how to speak the language. I also learn the history, the geography, the grammar, the traditions, etc. During recess, my friends and I play football, baseball, or listenin' to music in my dad's car [turnin' up the bass, haha]...whatever's exciting lately...so it's all cool.
School runs from 9:00-12:00 every Saturday.
