Although Effie loved her work as an Assistant Coach, she wanted more out of life. Oneday while eating breakfast, Effie was reading the newspaper. She flipped open to the Employment section and she saw what she must do. She applied for the job and got it. Effie was the new presenter on Getaway. Effie went to many amazing places and saw many amazing things.

Effie's first assignment was a trip to Uluru (Ayres Rock). Effie was just amazed at how wondrous Uluru really is and gave a great performance in her first show.

She then went to France. She travelled all through the country, feasting on the French cuisines and having a marvellous holiday at the expense of Channel 9.
Effie's favourite part of her French journey was visiting the Eiffel Tower. She said that Paris (and especially the Eiffel Tower) definitely is the romance capital of the world.

Then it was off to Italy for the adventurous girl. She went to Venice, where she ran into the Forrester's, who were on a fashion shoot in the city of love, which is exactly how Effie thought of it. Although she enjoyed Venice, the part of her Italian adventure she loved most was when she saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Effie was completely mystified by this amazing piece of architecture.

Next it was to Egypt for Effie. She spent her days riding around on camels, and was lucky enough to see the Three Pyramids. This was the most amazing experience Effie had ever had. She said that it was almost eerie standing there and looking at these ancient wonders.
