Dress Code 2003-4
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
On Friday May 14th, 2004, a school assembly was held for the official
signing and acceptance of the Code of Behaviour and Dress Code by students,
staff and
parents. Student council representatives from each classroom signed
the official contract. Please come to the main floor to see it posted on
the Take Care Card
bulletin board.
The Dress Code, detailed below, has now been fully accepted by students,
staff, and PAC. In the event that a student comes to school not adhering
to the dress
expectations for Quilchena school, he/she will be given a clean tee-shirt
to wear for the remainder of the day. The tee shirt should be laundered
and returned to the office at the parent's earliest convenience.
We thank parents again for their input and positive support of the Dress Code.
QUILCHENA DRESS CODE
The standards for elementary school dress reflect "common sense" and a concern for each child's comfort, safety, and clear sense of modesty. There is a strong relationship between neat, appropriate attire and a positive learning environment.
To help create the best learning environment for Quilchena students, the following are the standards for student and staff dress:
1. Hats and hoods are for outside.
2. Keep undergarments hidden.
3. Bare midriff style and low cut clothing are not allowed.
4. No offensive language, logos, images, acronyms on clothing.
