Costumes I have made and loved
Tina, Priestess of Bast, Hallowe'en 2000
A cute concept I came up with.  Took a premade belly dancer costume and embellished it with some gold shirt paint to give it a more Egyptian look.  Had lots of time and felt left over, so i made a costume/slipcover of sorts for a toy I have.  He's really a tiger, but a panther matches better ;-)  See what happens when I'm left alone too long with my craft supplies?
Sally Skellington, Hallowe'en 2001
The items weren't all that hard to put together- I actually bought the dress and socks- but the makeup took hours to apply.  Again, it was well worth it despite the fact that I look so blue ;-)
The Lady of Shalot, Hallowe'en 2002
The best costume that NOBODY got. Of course I was pleased with how it turned out:  I borrowed the over dress, hotglued pieces of CD to a meshy scarf and stitched that to the dress (the beginning of my interest in AOL CD recycling).  Also strung my hair with embroidery floss.  While this picture doesn't show them, I wrote lines of the poem on ribbon and sewed them to the dress as well. Took them off since nobody got it anyway, because nobody reads poetry anymore :-(.
