| I started with a polyester dress from Salvy Army covered in bits of broken CDs (recycled AOL CDs, of course) in the shape of the Chrysler building, with very very hot glue. I also used gromits to make the back lace up. I constructed the spiffy staff from plastic rod and a bauble from Industrial Plastics, plus a few more CDs. Yes, this took many hours of work, but it was well worth it. |
| She's not like one of those hippy woodsy elves, with their tunics and their leafy designs. No, this elf is a sophisticated creature, protecting and inspiring the glitz and glamour of her native city! She is also responsible for keeping our parks green, and constantly seeks out the "accidental beauty" of New York archetecture. And she recycles. |
