Q- FORCE Summer/Fall Newsletter 2003 Issue 2, Volume 2
Dear Reader,
It has been two years now since a small group of young queer people came together to begin work on Q-Force. We have gained in numbers to over 300, and volunteered hundreds of hours for an enormous variety of organizations.
We have watched changes great and small, both within our organization and in the world around us. Wars have been waged in our name, AIDS funding has turned into funding for bombs, our state has seen astronomical budget cuts for education and social services, and our city has been torn apart by what to do with cash allotments for the homeless.
While seeing the great importance of speaking out and reacting to what you see as wrong about our world, I'm also very happy to see that Q-Force is there to go out and take direct action for those in need most directly affected by the ills of our crazy world. We've been busy as little bees making sure organizations that serve those that are homeless, those that are living with AIDS, disabled children, and a variety of other populations have volunteers to help them out.
Thank you for joining us in this vision and helping create something so beautiful in this world.
Thank You!
