Deamons

Though very similar in appearance to the popular conception of the Demons of the
Underworld, Deamons are actually just regular people who have the same potential for
good and evil as a human. Present day Deamons live primarily in the mountainous regions
surrounding the Boiling Flats, where the frequent volcanic eruptions of the region keep the
climate warm enough for their liking. Deamons have no difficulty in cooler climes, but
most prefer to remain in the heat of their homeland.

Appearance:
Deamons are tall, powerfully built humanoids with large leathery wings which they
use to fly. Their grotesque (to humans) features include protruding brows, large chins,
fiercely beaked noses, and vesitigial horns. Some Deamons have larger horns, which can
be used for damage in close combat, but these must be purchased as strikers. Deamon skin
is typically grey or black, with eyes the color of crimson. There are some variations of the
theme, but no demon has yet been born that could pass for human, even in the dark.
Deamons normally have little or no body hair, but tend to have a rough fuzz on head. This
hair is usually the same color as their skin, but can be white or a dark red as well. Most
Deamons wear very little clothing in their homeland, but when abroad will wear garments
that would seem too warm for other races that have been made to accommodate the
freedom of their wings.

Names:
Deamon names usually reflect their profession, goals, accomplishments or ideals.
Names such as Molluck the Fletcher, Dor Swordsmith, Qyv Huntsman, and Bollux
Fairsinger are common. Deamons who associate with humans may adopt a human name to
use with them. For instance, Molluck may be known as Ryan Fletcher to his human
friends. Ancestry is not traced through names at all, as Deamon children are raised in a
group and fend for themselves after only 6 years of life.
