About David Robinson:
After
the death of his first wife, sometime after 1835, David brought
his family by covered wagon from Buncombe Co., NC, along the Wilderness
Trail through Cumberland Gap to Big Wild Dog Creek in Clay (now
Jackson) Co., KY. Along with Jim Spivey, whose home was about a
half-mile away, he was the first settler on the creek. The location
of their homestead is on Highway 30 about 1/2 mile from the Owsley
Co. border, near Green Hall.

Family cemetery on the farm of David and Nancy Robinson, Jackson
Co., KY.
Relationship:
Unconfirmed as child of William and Catherine (Rogers) Robinson.
Instead, his parents may be Julius and Sarah (Shelton) Robinson
(or possibly others, unknown). Believed to be part of this line,
but need proof of parentage.
