Bassel and Sadira

Bassel and Sadira are Azul's parents. Basel is a merchant from Alexandria, Egypt who met and fell in love with Sadira during the celebrations of the Royal Wedding of Aladdin and Jasmine 25 years ago. They married and went to live to Alexandria when their only daughter, Azul was born.

The family spent many years traveling all over the Seven Deserts and beyond, until Azul was in the right age to attend school. Then they settled in Alexandria for the next 10 years.

They have always been responsible and loving parents and a very solid couple. In Bassel Sadira found the love and the security she needed. He is a very responsible man who cares for the well being of his family. There's nothing that matters more to him than his wife and his daughter.

Sadira has always been a devoted wife and a loving mother. The union of her family is very important to her since she came from a lonely childhood and she wants to live with Bassel and Azul all she didn't have the chance to live as a child.

They are a strong and very united family and very hard workers. Bassel decided to move his family to live in Agrabah since he knew how much his wife loved the city. When he realized that Agrabah had a growing economy and that it was the best place for a merchant such as himself they left Alexandria and went to Agrabah.

When their daughter Azul and Ali got involved sentimentally they were totally taken by surprise. At first they were a little concerned about Ali's status as the Prince of Agrabah but little by little they realized that Ali's intentions towards Azul were serious and Bassel and Sadira blessed that union.

But little they knew about the secret Sadira held in her blood. The secret of Azrak, her powerful ancestor. A powerful spell and an ancient curse were held within Sadira's blood... thus within the blood of their only offspring, Azul.
