Ali is a character that has gone through a journey of development and evolution from the baby he was in "The Secret of Immortality" (his first appearance) to the man he has turned out to be in Q3. Ali is a character that has grown before our eyes, getting mature and wiser in every new adventure he lives.

We saw Ali growing from boy to a young man in the original "Quest". A young man who was getting conscious of his responsibilities as the Heir of Agrabah and the future Sultan of the land. In "Quest" he realized that it's important to have devotion for his people and his kingdom, but even more important is to have devotion and royalty to himself and to his own heart. After "Quest" Ali went through a period of loneliness when he felt totally lost, not knowing who he really was or what his true mission was in life. There's an unknown time of his life, a time when he really struggle with himself and with the idea of who he really was, who he really wanted to be. For him it was a time of search and realization.

And he finally found his true self reflected in the blue eyes of a commoner girl named Azul. In "Quest 2" he finally found who he wanted to be. He realized he wanted to be that man Azul's eyes reflected every time she looked at him. In Azul he found love, he found his reason to live, a reason to fight, a reason to go on in life and never give up. But most of all, in Azul Ali found himself.

Ali had to face his responsibilities as the Prince of Agrabah and even fight a war to defend his land and his people. But most of all, he had to face himself to admit his true feelings and only by being true to himself and to his heart and loyal to the woman he loves he could take another step in his own personal growing. He became more responsible and sure of himself. Love made him take a big step in his own personal journey.

And love made him go on in life, getting new experiences and a new point of view. A new perception of life and things. Love touched him deeply and Azul made a better man out of him. After two years of engagement they were ready to finally take the last step of that love in their sacred union in holy marriage.

But the time had come for an old prophecy to be fulfilled and an ancient curse stroke the land one more time after 1000 years of being hidden under the sands of the golden deserts. And that old prophecy and that ancient curse went directly against Ali and his beloved Azul.

In Q3 we found Ali as a young man who's taking the final steps into his complete growth as a man, as a prince and as Azul's lifetime companion. Gold is proved in fire and Ali has to be proven in the roads of Courage, Purity and Wisdom before he can take the ultimate challenge fighting the powers of evil in the Dark City of Karak. This is the biggest adventure Ali has ever faced and he has to prove himself as a strong, brave, pure and wise man before he could confront the powers of evil that threaten to destroy the Seven Deserts.

But most of all, Ali has to face the ultimate proof his love can take. Ali's heart will be pushed to the limits and his body will be forced to the limits of all human resistance, all in the name of the burning love he has for that Blue Eyed Angel. The paths of courage, purity and wisdom are before him and the final destination is not Karak... but himself.
