Photos from October and early November 2003. Well, yes, we've been busy. October was pretty cold and wet, although as you can see we had a few nice days when it counted most.
Thanksgiving was overcast but not raining - it's the last day when the miniature trains run in Confederation park, Burnaby, so we had to do that.
We also went to the Apple Festival at UBC, met some friends and tasted a few new varieties of apples (although not in the main tent, the queue was way too long!). Tim and Megan
really enjoyed the bag of crisp dried apple slices we bought though!
Pia finally realised one of her ambitions for this year, to go cycling around False Creek with the kids,
visiting many of the playgrounds. We did have a lot of fun, but it was a LOT colder than we expected (mist kept rolling in from the water), so we had to rush home early.
The kids collected a good bit of candy again at Halloween this year, but were badly scared when the fireworks started going off, so we had an early night.
Tim and Megan also started swimming lessons in October; unfortunately after a few lessons, Megan has decided that the pool is scary, and she doesn't want to get in anymore.
Tim and I went to the Cameron Rec Centre annual Model Train show for the first time. Tim was impressed by the number of trains on show!
Pia's mom came to visit us again (four weeks); she is always a pleasure to have around. And finally, I started trying out my new digital camera birthday present...
