Metal Arms:  Glitch in the System
Metal Arms stood out a bit from most war/shooter games due to the fact that all the combatants are robots.  It seems that would dull the game a bit, but that didn't bother me too much.  The robots are very humanlike; just replace the blood in the shootouts with explosions.
The weapon cache that Glitch, the main character, uses are pretty plentiful.  It's not as wide a selection as
Invisible War, but it's still a good number.  A nice feature to the weapons is the ability to upgrade them, for a price of course.  The tether, a weapon that has the ability to possess enemy bots, was a fun addition to play with.
The secondary weapons weren't without their desturctive power.  Cleaners, grenades that home in on their target with three missiles, EMPs, disable bots, and and recruiter grenades, make enemies join your side, were a few of my personal favorites.
No war game would be complete without a gun battery to man or a vehicle to wreck havoc in.  Lucky for you
Metal Arms has both.  The RAT (Rapid Armor Transport) is much like Halo's Warthog.  It's fast, able to take tough terrain, and has a mounted gun on the back.  There is also a great stage where you hop in a four barreled gunner with a rocket launcher attachment.  In this level you must defend a base from infiltration by enemy RATs and helicopters.  These, of course, arn't the only types of stationary weapons and vehicles you'll encounter.
The sound quality in the game is excellent.  The soundtrack has lots of techno/industrial sounding stuff, go figure with a game full of robots.  The distortion in the voices is nicely done as well.  The characters all sound human, but with a slight robotic feel to the voices.  When you destroy the grunts sometimes their voices will greatly distort as if they've went offline.
I didn't get a chance to play the multiplayer (I may update if I ever get to it), but this was a pretty good single player game.  If you want to blow things up or destroy robots this is a game for you.  The story is a bit lacking, but the characters are fairly humorous, especially the mechanic.  It would be a fun investment for shooter/war fans or maybe people who enjoy watching Battlebots.
