Handbook

Here is the newly revised handbook of the PWW. We have many new rules in here that will help the PWW produce a better product.

Federations

The PWW is all about moving up the ladder for the federations. You want to be a gold federation because a gold federation means that you are bringing in more money, you have more TV deals and you're getting higher ratings. All federations will be separated in rankings and links like that.

At the end of every month, federations will be moved up and down the ladder if necessary.

Indy Federations have a different approach to them because they can only hire the lower wrestlers, they start off with $1, 000, 000 and no TV contracts. They have to move theirselves up to become a good federation.

Wrestlers

All wrestlers have contracts with the Pro Wrestling World. They are all handled by the head staff. You are able to purchase any wrestler’s contract from the PWW if you have enough money to afford them. This means that you partially take control of them but the head staff does have more control over them, you are just allowed to use them on your shows but you have to listen to what the head staff says about the wrestler. (i.e. If they say he isn’t happy with his contract status and it shows on TV, don’t show him all lively on TV.) First off, you have to pay for their signing fee and then if you get past there, you will be allowed to consult with the wrestler (all wrestlers are officially controlled by head staff) over contract lengths and monthly salaries. What they are asking for per month is by the wrestler’s name. If you are able to successfully negotiate with them, they become a member of your roster.

All contract lengths will be restricted to under one year.

Over time, some wrestlers will increase in talent and some will decrease (determined by how they are doing in a federation and also by head staff. This happens quite frequently but it is quite random most of the time.) Wrestlers will ask for higher wages and they will also help produce better ratings for you and your company, therefore bringing in more money. If a wrestler wants more wages, you will be contacted by email and you will be able to negotiate it with the wrestler through the head staff. Your wrestlers also might want to jump ship to another federation. You will be contacted by email about this or you might see it on the news board or the “Where wrestlers want to be” or page. This page shows where some wrestlers want to be signed to. If a wrestler gets signed to that federation, he will have high morale and bring in great ratings in his matches. It is very much recommended to sign a wrestler who wants to be in your federation to help capture better ratings. It is also recommended to approach a promoter that has a wrestler that wants to be in your federation and negotiate deals. If a wrestler does not want to be in your federation, he is going to lower the ratings for you. You will be contacted if a wrestler does not want to be in your federation and you can try to release him or trade him away to another federation.

If you know of a wrestler that you would like to see on our wrestler’s list but is not, you can email me at [email protected] and I will add him as soon as possible. You can also create wrestlers by filling out the form. These wrestlers are the same as any other wrestlers. They will start off with a low salary though and will progress or regress over time. You can start them off with a high salary though.

Wrestlers with higher salaries are more talented wrestler with higher morale and they will produce better ratings than other wrestlers so it might be your advantage to give wrestler’s higher salaries. Remember that you don’t start off with very much money so don’t sign too many big names right from the start.

It’s also possible to sign and trade wrestlers from other promotions. You will have to negotiate between the two promoters and when you two have agreed on something, you can send it to the head staff and then we review it and either allow it or veto it.

Wrestlers are signed for the full length of their contract. If they wish to be released, it does not cost you anything but if you release them, you will be penalized and charged the rest of their contract length so don’t sign for too long if you don’t plan to hold them for that long. Contracts will only be handed out in months, not years because you really won't have a wrestler for several years.

Wrestlers are able to retire and the head staff will determine when the time is right for a wrestler to retire.

There will be two pages that will help you out in maintaining your roster. There will be a “Where Wrestlers Want to Be” page and this will show which federation some wrestlers want to sign with. There is also a page listed where “Wrestlers Want To Leave” and it will list wrestlers that want out of their contracts. You should be emailed anyways if a wrestler of yours wants out.

Be careful if you get some really low talent because a negative reaction from fans could go bad with your ratings but not too bad.

Keep an eye on the news because anything could happen to your federation or wrestlers and that’s the exciting part.

It is possible to use created wrestlers. Just fill out the form here and mail it to Ryan Betesta at [email protected]

Wrestler quality is the main factor in determining the ratings of matches. A wrestler's quality is determined based on 5 factors. Wrestler talent, most wrestlers start off with a small talent but after they win matches and get involved more, they will increase in talent. Charisma, if a wrestler gets involved in a good fued, gets lots of interview time and stuff like that, his charisma will increase. Morale, if a wrestler is happy with his current situation and what's going on, Morale will be high. Championships and other big matches and big decisions can affect Morale. Crowd response, how the crowd and fans react to the wrestler. And last, Experience. As a wrestler wrestlers more, they will also gain more experience. These five all help increase the quality of the wrestlers.

There will be wrestler auctions from time to time. The highest bidder will receive the wrestler for that signing fee plus the first 2 months of a contract. From time to time, wrestlers will be auctioned off. An auction will take place for two days and will be done by email. After the two days, the highest bidder gets the wrestler for either the remainder of his contract or for one month free and then monthly wages are negotiated on. A promoter can put a wrestler up for auction by paying $20, 000 and then the wrestler will go up for the auction.

Manager’s/Commentators

Effective use and signings of managers and commentators can build up your ratings and build up your reputation so do it wisely. Negative reaction to managers, commentators and wrestlers is not good!

Also, you will have to sign anybody you use on TV, whether it be hotline reporters, camera men, referees, commissioners, vice presidents, etc. You can use wrestlers for these positions but please contact me by email with contract lengths and everything like that. You can also create people to do these positions if that is what you would like. These people will help increase your ratings and reputation. You must have at least one commentator and they can also be your interviewer or ring announcer and you must have at least one cameraman, one referee and one news reporter. You do not need a cameraman if you are an indy federation.

Money

You start off the game with $5, 000, 000. It is recommended that you start off with a low cost staff and roster and then build yourself up to a higher paying roster with big name stars.

Your money is required to build your roster and maintain it. You will have to pay for the use of an arena and each arena has it's own rental fee. You will also earn money from TV ratings and PPV buy rates on a TV show and PPV buy rates based on our ratings formula. There are many factors of that from attendance, show quality, wrestler talent, wrestler morale, reputation and etc. Both attendance and ratings will be generated by the head staff here.

You will also be able to have house shows and earn money on attendance. Attendance will not be as high but you do not have to pay production costs and this is an easy way to earn money. You can hold a house show whenever you want but you have to book an arena from our arena list first. If you’d like to cancel an arena use, email us because if you don’t, you will be penalized.

You can also earn money off the sales of merchandise. Just let us know how extensive you want your merchandise production costs to be (in dollars) and at every show, you could earn money from the sale of merchandise based on our merchandise formula. You can change how much money you want to put into merchandise by emailing us.

Money will also be awarded on regular random intervals whenever a situation comes up that could earn money.

You will earn money by putting commercials in your television shows. Through email, you will be given many sponsors that are interested in being on your show. If you put them in, you will earn the money that they are offering you per ad. This is a quick and easy way to earn money. How much they are willing to offer you is based on how good you are doing. Don’t expect this to happen unless your federation is doing really well.

There are all sorts of ways to earn money such as contests and winning lawsuits and other stuff. Contests can happen regularly. You can charge somebody with a lawsuit if you feel you have a case (do this by emailing head staff.) The head staff will review the case and award the case how they feel. There are also ways to lose money but most of this will be random and you’ll just have to watch and see it all occur. Wrestler of the Weeks, Fed’s of the Weeks and other awards can bring in some cash flow.

Try not to overspend because it’s easy to go bankrupt if you release too many wrestlers or book a huge arena and have little attendance. If you go bankrupt, it could be game over unless someone gives you a loan but that is highly unlikely. If you go bankrupt, try negotiating with other federations to sell wrestlers and other things such as titles, TV shows, staff members. Etc.

Writing Cards

You can write cards however you want but your card will need to fill up the entire time slot that you have assigned for it. Please indicate how long each segment has taken.

How good the card is written is one of the many factors to how your ratings are.

TV Shows

You start off the game with one TV show, you can pick a date and hour length and station. As the game goes on, you can get contracts from better TV networks and get more TV shows and this will all be decided by the head staff. Newer TV contracts means better ratings and also more expensive TV production costs and better advertisers. It is not possible to change the date of your weekly show. You can cancel shows though, email the staff for that. Late shows will result in a lower rating.

For each show, you have to book an arena by emailing [email protected] and saying which arena you want.

TV production costs vary from each stage of the ladder. Bronze Federations cost $25, 000 per show. Silver Federations $50, 000 and Gold $100, 000 per show.

You can buy another TV show but that will cost you $25, 000, 000.

PPV’s

At the beginning of the game, you will not have the option to hold a PPV. As your reputation increases and as your federation becomes bigger, the head staff may grant you a PPV and then they might grant you a yearly contract to hold a certain number of PPV’s.

You can buy PPV’s but they will cost you $10, 000, 000 per PPV but it brings in a lot of capital.

Interfed Cards

If federations wish, they will be allowed to have an interfed card with another or many other federations within the PWW. You will assume joint costs for production, arena and etc.
From time to time, the PWW will also hold interfed cards between all of the federations. Everyone will help in the writing and booking of these cards. The head staff will be mostly in charge though.

Booking Arena’s

To book an arena before a show, email [email protected]. Make sure you check the calendar to see if it is available. Failure to book an arena and then holding a show will result in a penalty. Booking an arena and then canceling the show without canceling the arena will also result in a penalty. Email [email protected] to cancel an arena booking.

Reputation

As the game progresses, your federation will get a good or bad reputation for what you’ve done. If you sign a lot of wrestlers and show off lots of talent, you could get a good rep if the fans enjoy what you’re doing. High ratings, good rep. Lots of news board posting, good rep. Frequently firing wrestlers and bad ratings could give you a bad rep. These will affect what kind of sponsors you get that want to be on your show and also which wrestlers want to sign you. These could also affect some money offers that you get from such promotional sources as magazines and TV shows, etc. All of these will be offered to you through email or mentioned on the news board.

You will not be able to see your reputation level, only the head staff will be able to but you should be able to tell how good you are doing based on what you’ve been doing.

News board

This is where all the news and rumors will be going around so feel free to submit any news and rumors about your current federation to help out. This can improve your reputation as well.

Awards

Every week, there will be awards that will be handed out for top wrestler, top federation and etc. Each of these awards will bring $75, 000 home for that federation that won the award. Every month, there will be monthly awards. Cash prizes of $250, 000 will be given to the federations that win the awards.

Random Effect

Please be aware of the random effect that anything can happen to the wrestlers and the federations so don’t get mad if something happens that you don’t like because it’s all random.

Penalties

The head staff has the right to penalize any federation for anything that they deem unappropriate or not right.

Questions

If there is something here that you aren’t clear of or aren’t clear of or you need an answer to something, feel free to email [email protected] and he will do his best to help you out.
