Born in Los Angeles (Queen of Angels Hospital – February 13, 1979), I was raised on the mean streets of La Mirada, CA, "the friendliest city" (motto: drive friendly). My home town is a small retirement community/suburb right on the border of L.A. and Orange County. I was pretty much a nerd in grade school, though I was quite the competitor at kickball and four-square. I'm not saying that I'm some great athlete, but if you give me the ball I'm gonna do something with it. All I’m saying is: don't under estimate the husky kid.

In high school I would continue the whole dork thing, because it was kinda workin for me. Sure, I made a few cameos on the principal's honor roll and pretty much kept to my small but loyal group of friends. I did, however, escort the prom queen to the prom...though I'm still not sure how that happened. Still it was a nice finish to an otherwise uneventful stay at LMHS.
Which brings us to college.

I attended the University of California, at Irvine for 6years, (GO Anteaters!) majoring in everything from Biology to Psychology, but ending up in Studio Art and Digital Arts. This has lead me into the field of web design, graphic design and illustration; most of which I do through freelance work.
Over the years I never really out grew that whole nerdiness thing, so in keeping with that theme I decided to make my own website. In actuality this is a summary of years and years of dorkdom (ie. my life).

So for right now I'm just another 5'11", 230+ lb., 26 year old bachelor, "Columbalino" (1/2 Columbian - 1/2 Filipino), who just wants to be recognized for making some meaningful artwork.

ONTOLOGY

PAUL - m English, French, German, Romanian, Biblical from the Roman family name Paulus, which meant "small" or "humble" (Latin).
Saint Paul was an important leader of the early Christian church, his story is told in Acts, in the New Testament. He was originally named Saul, but changed his name after converting to Christianity. This was also the name of six popes. Famous bearers of this name in the art world include Paul Cezanne and Paul Gauguin, both 19th-century impressionist painters from France.
I however, was named after the actor, Paul Newman, because my mom thought he was an attractive and talented man. Which I'm sure he was, but now he's best known for promoting his tasty and nutritious brand of salad dressing.

Thanks Mom

And now please allow me a moment to introduce you to the man, the artist, the son, the brother, the friend, the lover, the crusader for truth and justice, the admirer of beauty, the magnificent awe inspiring image of perfection, the legend… me.

I was adopted in to an amazing family at two months old. My father (John), is a mad scientist by day and lay-z boy potato by night. If you have a question on history or how anything in the wold works, hes your man. mother (Irene) is an ex-PTA President and present co-worker. She has always amazed me by how supportive she can be about her son wanting to "draw stuff" for a living. And last but not least my sister (Yvette) who is responsible for at least a few of the scars on my head, grooms horses regularly and is three years my senior. They are everything to me.

I love you.
