| Valley College Campus Contacts: Zev Garber - Director of Jewish Studies classes (818) 947-2384 Helpful Tabling Hints: Tabling at Valley works a few different ways. You can either bring a table from Hillel (fits in your car and is light) or you can get a table from their patio and recruit some help carrying it. Most of time time you'll table on Monarch Square (outside of Monarch Hall, in front of the bookstore). I usually try and pick a spot under a tree where it's nice and shady. You can table in other spots to meet students who don't frequent Monarch Square. I'd recommend tabling outside of the Foreign Languages building. There are Hebrew and Jewish Studies classes there, where you'll run into Jews and people interested in Judaism. If you'd like to have a picnic, just choose a plot of grass, set up a blanket and eat away, there's plenty of space to enjoy! Posting: You can post signs and flyers on the bulletin boards in the Foreign Languages building both outside and inside the Jewish Studies classroom, 113. Just set up a time with Zev Garber to get inside the class to post things or decorate the board. You can also post things on other bulletin boards around campus, as long as you get them approved in the office in Monarch Hall. |

| Pierce College Campus Contacts: Brad Saenz - Associated Student Organization (ASO) Advisor - (818) 710-2538 Associated Student Organization Helpful Tabling Hints: Each club at Pierce has a booth. Hillel's booth is golden (yellow, actually). It's wonderful to table from, and proves useful in the summer heat. It's shade is an oasis where you and the students will be happy to hang out. I often set up a table and chairs in front of the booth, to reach out to more students as they walk by. I also like to have picnics in Swicher Park (located on campus map), and table along the main campus walk close to the student parking lot. When tabling on campus away from the booth, I leave a sign at the booth telling people where I am, so if they want to stop by for free food to to say hi, they can. Posting: You can post signs and flyers on the bulletin board in the booth. You can also post things on bulletin boards around campus. |
