Putredine was born in 1997 from the wicked minds of drummer Brutalmax and the two guitarists Duro and Matrix. Soon joined the band Cipo, the singer. In the beginning they didn't find any bass player so they decided to play without bass. We started to play basically death metal, covering bands such Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Obituary etc...We played some gigs in our city, Brescia with some local bands.

In 1998 we played at Rocker's Pub in Palazzolo s/O, supporting an important italian brutal death metal band, Antropofagus. After that, unfortunately, Cipo decided to leave the band, due to time problems. He was replaced by Archvile and before that, Putredine found a bass player, namely Necrom!

With this line-up Putredine played many gigs with local bands such Eviscerate, Cadaveric Crematorium, Fuckers, Odia, Numortevok, Metastasy....In late 1999, after playing two concerts with Natron, we recorded our first demo, entitled "The Art Of Suffering", selfproduced and released in 2000. It took good reviews from italian metal magazines. Thanks to this, we played with Fleshless again at Rocker's Pub and then, in the summer, we went in Czech Republic for a mini-tour, playing with many great bands: Fleshless, Intervalle Bizzare, Cerebral Turbulency, Disfigured Corpse, Crusher, Maniac Butcher ,Alienation Mental among the others.

In 2001 -2002 Putredine didn't gig a lot: we played 2 times at La Sfinge in Brescia, one time at Indian Saloon and in other little places. We changed a little bit stile, now we are more grind-death oriented than classical death metal. We unfortunately  lost our guitarist Matrix: after getting married he decided to leave the band.....In 2002 we also meet a good brutal death metal band from Milan, Zombification: we became great friends and we played some gigs together!

At this time , after playing a great gig in Brescia (@ La Sfinge 26th July 2003) we are planning to record a new demo, with 7  new songs. We are ready to crush again your cd players!!!!
