The Profile
N�SYNC is: JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone. It takes the pop boy band style to a whole new level with their new album "Celebrity". Not only do they write and mix their own music, they actual learn to play their own instruments. Too bad I didn't know where i put the CD. I think I've lost it somewhere. Almost every song was written by written by members of the group ) but it is obvious they are stepping into the artist category. I can understand where people might have thought they were just another boy band and stereotyped them as the average group who would fade out in a few years, but obviously these boys (or should I say men) are hotter than ever with their third album. My favorite songs are mostly from the first album. This third album takes all forms of music and throws them together to complete a great album. There are slow songs, dance beats, and their best forms of pop. The group introduces two steps- a catchy club beat- and mixes in their own voices very well. They also throw in a pac-man video game sound in the song "The Game is Over ". That is so cool. A bulk of the songs talk about relationship problems, but this comes in many sounds from slow to fast, and soft to up tempo dance beats. "Celebrity" satisfies all aspects of the pop scene and it differs form track to track. As a listener, it's great to hear some fresh material from what is a talented group of singers who have been typecast as boyband fluff. The first single, POP, spoke to naysayers who dismissed them as a passing fad. CELEBRITY is a great foray into new musical styles (electronica, quick beats, acoustic guitar). Justin Timberlake appears to be taking over as the unofficial official lead singer, with JC singing lead less often than on the first two albums. GONE is reminiscent of Madonna's "Don't Tell Me" in acoustic style, SELFISH starts out sounding a bit like the BSB's "All I Have to Give" crossed with "Music of My Heart" but is a good highlight of Justin Timberlakes vocal strengths. Their last album "Celebrity" is a great success. One of the songs "POP" was hangging around in the music chart for severak weeks. this things shown that N'SYNC is still producing a good music.
