Staind//Musical Interpretations
This portion of the song is where I find the most meaning of this song.
A boy just 13 on the corner for sale
Swallows his pride for another hit
Overpopulation there's no room in jail
But most of you don't give a s***
That your daughters are porno stars
and Your sons sell death to kids
You're so lost in your little worlds
Your little worlds you'll never fix
Reflection
What I think that Aaron Lewis is conveying through this song is how messed up our world is. Kids are being used, and are using themseleves for destructive purposes. "A boy just 13 on the corner for sale". The kids are more than willing to steal, lie, and cheat in order to have drugs. The world is getting so crowded that there isn't much we can do about it. Abortion is what people feel is a way to have little responsibility, but none of the consequences. That may be keeping the population down, but personally, I would like to see that people take responsibilty for thier actions, rather than take a human life. He also states that most people don't care that their "daughters are porno stars". The sons are selling "death", or drugs.
