It was 5:00 on the dot, Madison was in her car caught in traffic. She was supposed to meet Gwen at her apartment at 5:00. Finally after sitting in traffic for like 15 minutes she arrived at her posh apartment building. She went to her apartment. Gwen wasn't waiting outside or anything. She sighed and opened the door. She walked in and set down he purse, to find Gwen sitting on her couch looking at her.

"How did you get in here?" Madison asked curiously, she didn't have a key or anything.

"I asked the door boy to give me a key for your apartment and he did." Gwen stated simply.

"Ok so what did you need to talk to me about?" Madison asked walking over to the couch opposite of where Gwen was sitting.

"Well Jaime told me you and Justin were a couple or whatever." Gwen said as if it were an everyday thing.

"Yes and..." Madison said not understanding the point.

"Well to tell you the truth this is the first time you actually did something right." Madison just gave her a confused look. "Oh please don't tell me you haven't noticed. Justin is totally rich and famous, of course i'm glad you're dating him." Gwen finished.

"Ok wait let me get this straight, you came over here to tell me how happy were are that my boyfriend is rich and famous?" Madison asked still a bit confused.

"Yeah" Gwen stated simply

"You're sick" Madison said in disbelief.

"Excuse me?" Gwen asked looking at her as if saying "What did you say young lady."

"What's wrong with you? Just because i'm dating him doesn't mean it's for his money or fame or whatever else he has. I could care less." Madison said disgusted at her mother.

"Oh sure Madison, can you look at me and tell me you don't think about his money, and to tell you the truth i benefit from him having money that means i am more popular." Gwen said smiling.

"You really need help. I can't believe you would think that. and you aren't in high school anymore. i'm not with him for his money i'm with him because i love him." Madison said loudly. Once she has finished she was shocked at her own words. She had said 'love' did she really love Justin?

"Awww how cute. I'm sure Madison, you like him and all he's good looking but he's also rich famous and one of the biggest names in the music industry, even if he isn't a singer anymore." Gwen stated trying to convince Madison she was right.

"No" Madison said.

"So you're telling me that you would be willing to live in a box as long as you were with him." Gwen said in a mocking voice.

"What's wrong with you. What kind of mother are you? You don't love your daughter you hate me and all you do is tell me how bad i am. and when i do something you like it's because of someone elses social status." Gwen just stared at her for her to continue. "I've spent my entire life trying to please you. Why do you hate me so much?"

"It isn't that i hate you, it's just you ruined everything Madison." Gwen said her cruel words crushed madison.

"What do you mean?" Madison said by now she was in tears.

"Madison you aren't my daughter." Gwen stated flattly.

"What?" Madison was even more confused than before.

"Oh i'm assuming you want the entire story now right?" Gwen said simply.

"Well yeah" Madison said in a 'duh' tone.

"Ok well you see 24 years ago your father decided to have an affair with a girl who just happened to be my best friend.   Well anyway, so pretty soon you came along and i found out about it because well she was pregnant and i was her best friend i was bound to find out. Ok well when you were born she died. You're father promised to keep you. I didn't want to scar my name nor our family name, so i said you were my daugter. Jaime was too little to remember to her you are her little sister Madison. Oh yeah and the name. Your mothers name is Janine and she said to name you Madison so hence the name Madison Janine Jordan. " Gwen said as if she was bored.

      Madison was speechless, she would have never expected this.

"But that doesn't answer my question really i want to know why you hate me not that i'm not your daughter. Unless that's why you hate me." Madison asked tears running down her cheek.

"Oh no you just ruined everything. I had the perfect husband, perfect little daughter, perfect family, hell even perfect life but then you were born and you just ruined everything. and it isn't that i hate you but you are the result of an affair between my husband and my best friend. I'm sorry madison but i'll alway hold it against you." After that comment Madison couldnt' say anything. "Now if you'll excuse me i have to go now i have a party in a couple of hours."

      She walked out the door and didn't even close it. Madison just as she left broke down and just cried. She heard someone walk in. She looked up to find Justin standing there.

"Maddy, baby what's wrong." He walked over to her and held on to her.

      Madison said nothing she just help Justin tight like he was her oxygen supply. At that moment she didn't want to let go. She just wanted to sleep and not remember anything. Her entire life had become one huge lie. the person she thought was her mother was not even a blood relation. Her sister who she loved was nothing but a step sister. And her father who she loved so much had lied to her. She couldn't take it anymore. She sat in Justin's arms and just cried, it was what she needed.
