| Isn't it Obvious? Chapter 4 |
| It was her first night in her new house. She was excited but nervous, being in a new house for the first time is always scary. She didn't know the neighbors and she didn't know anyone around there. Her furniture hadn't all arrived yet. She had a mattress and a table, whatever she had with her at her hotel which wasn't much and a dresser that was it. Her other stuff still hadn't arrived. It was 10 o'clock she was tired. She lay on the mattress with her comforter pulled up to her chin. He's really gonna get married. She thought as much as she didn't want for it to be true it was a sad reality she had to face. Madison tossed and turned for a while finally she fell asleep. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Madison woke up, she had no food in her house she she quickly drove to McDonalds to grab an egg Mcmuffin, they were pretty nasty but it was the best thing there. When she arrived back home she quickly ate the movers would be there soon. She finished eating and threw away the trash. Her door bell rang... She quickly ran to go answer it. "Madison Jordan?" A short fat man with a name tag that said 'Bob' said in a raspy annoying voice. "Yeah that's me" Madison said. "Great we have your stuff." Bob said "Oh that's great." Madison said. Bob pointed to the front lawn which was covered in her furniture. "Have a nice day Mam" Bob said and turned around and got in his truck. "Oh goody it looks like a day of moving in" Madison said sarcastically to herself. She threw up her hair and stepped outside. She looked over the lawn the first things she would do was move the bed which wasn't assembled. She picked up a large box and took in inside. At that moment she cursed herself for getting a house with a porch that had steps. She continued her work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin sat in his backyard eating breakfast. He could have eaten in the kitchen but the backyard was peaceful and lovely and rarely ever appreciated. He sat thinking of everything that came to mind, Marie, the wedding, Madison... He couldn't believe she had come back. Thinking back he remember when she had just left. It tore him apart, while walking down the street he would see someone in the street that he confused with her and stopped them and realized it wasn't her and she wasn't gonna magically come back, but she did. Three years later she magically came back. Why did she have to come back now? Right before the wedding. Justin thought. He finished breakfast and went back inside. He stepped out side to get the news paper. He looked around and couldn't find it anywhere. Prince must have taken it away and destroyed it. Justin looked around, it was a beautiful Saturday morning. He looked over to the house next door. Someone had just moved in yet he hadn't met them yet. He saw someone struggling carrying a large box, he couldn't see their face, but jogged over to help them. "Hey let me help you with that." Justin said walking over to them and taking the box out of their hands. "Thanks" the person said breathlessly. Justin froze at the sound of the voice. He looked at them. "Madison?" Justin said. "Justin what are you doing here?" Madison asked completely confused. "I like next door and I saw you were having some trouble so I came to help." He said quietly. "Oh thanks" "Where do you want this?" Justin asked looking down at the box. "Oh sorry about that just in side is fine, thanks" Madison said. Justin walked in and set the box down. "Thank you" Madison said. "You're welcome" Justin said, then they were caught in am uncomfortable silence Justin wearing nothing but pants and a wife beater didn't make it any easier. Jeez I haven't seen him in how long? And I can't think of anything to say. Madison thought. "Umm so how have you been?" Madison asked starting conversation again. "I've been good. What about you?" Justin asked. "I'm good." Once again they were in silence. "Thanks for the help but I need to finish this" "Oh ok umm i'll see you around then I guess." Justin said. "Bye" Madison said and he walked away. She watched him as he walked and couldn't believe he was her new next door neighbor. This is just what I needed. Madison thought and got back to work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
