Madison woke up to the ringing of the hotel telephone next to her. It was probably the wake up call she had asked for. She had to go with Gwen, Marie and Justin dress searching, she honestly didn't want to but she had to. Sitting up in bed one person came to mind, her friend Becca. She had met her in California she was her next door neighbor. They had become good friends. Madison quickly pulled out her cell phone and dialed Becca's number.

"Hello?" Becca answered.

"Bec, it's Madison." She said.

"Hey Girly it's about time you called." Becca laughed.

"Yeah sorry about that." Madison sighed.

"What's wrong you sound funny. Are you getting sick?" Becca asked concerned.

"No I'm not sick, just tired and pissed off." Madison whined.

"Why pissed off? Is it because you can't see your dear friend Becca?" She said sweetly

"No" Madison said flattly

"Gee thanks" Becca said

"No I didn't mean it like that. It's just Justin is engaged and Gwen is making me go with her and his fiancee and Justin to look at some wedding dresses. I don't want to do that Bec. Three years ago that could have been me looking for dresses with Justin, and I was stupid." Madison sighed and plopped down on the big bed.

"Maddy things happen for a reason maybe you and Justin weren't meant to be." Becca said she had always been good at advice and Madison knew she could trust her.

"Yeah I guess you're right." Madison said.

"So what about the girl is she nice, ugly, annoying? What?" Becca asked completey interested, she had never met Justin but Madison spoke a lot about him and she felt like she knew him.

"No, she's pretty, sweet, smart, and perfect so perfect it's annoying because it isn't annoying!" Madison said frusterated.

"So she's perfect to perfection as if her perfection isn't annoying?" Becca asked making sure she understood.

"Bingo! Then I look at them and all I can think about was how stupid I was for leaving him" Madison said sadly.

"Do you still love him?" Becca asked. Madison was shocked.

"No! well I don't know... I don't think I do" Madison said. The truth was she wasn't sure.

"I think you are" Becca said.

"I don't think so Bec" Madison said and looked over at her clock. It was almost 10:00 she had to meet them at 11 and she didn't want to be late.

"Becca I have to go get ready, I'll talk to you later." Madison said getting up from the bed.

"Ok I'll talk to you later, Girly. Bye" Becca said and hung up the phone.

     Madison hurried and took a shower. She got dressed, dried her hair, and put on make-up. She wore a pair of fitting jean pants and a short sleeve shirt. To finish off her outfit were a pair of sandals that matched the shirt. She got ready and walked out to the parking lot and into her new silver Mercedes convertable. She tied her hair back so it wouldn't get ruined in the wind when she left the top down. Blasting some old Blink 182 song she drove toward where she was given directions to go... Marie's house.

     Madison stepped out of the car. She looked on the paper she didn't want to get the wrong house that would be bad and embarrasing, it had happened before. She went to the house and rang the door bell.

"Justin could you get the door!?!" Marie yelled from upstairs. Justin walked over to door, expecting it to be Gwen. He looked through the peek hole. Madison was standing on the other side of the door. His breath caught in his chest and he stared at her for a while. He didn't understand why it was so odd to see her, but it was. He slowly opened the door.

"Hey" He said with a smile.

"Umm... Hey" Madison said

"Come in, Marie's upstairs." Justin said trying to act normal.

"Oh Madison you're here!" Marie said cheerfully as she walked down the stairs. She walked over to Madison and gave her a hug. Madison stood there as she was hugged.

"Hi" was all Madison could say after all her guts were squeezed out from that hug. Just then the phone rang and Marie answered it.

"Hello?" She said and listened.

"Oh that's too bad" Marie said sadly.

"Oh it's ok down worry about it, we'll go anyway. Ok bye now take care" Marie said and hung up the phone. Justin and Madison both looked at her.

"That was Gwen, She's sick and won't be able to make it" Marie said sadly. Bull S*** Madison and Justin both thought. They knew Gwen but unfortunetly Marie didn't.

"That's too bad." Madison said.

"That's ok we can still go" Marie said cheerfully. "Do you still wanna go?" She asked hopefully. Madison couldn't say no.

"umm sure" Madison said.

"Great let's go, I found the cutest little boutique and I found the most beautiful dress." Marie said as she picked up her bag and her keys. Madison didn't say anything she just looked at the ground.

      They drove to a small store and went in. It was full of beautiful wedding dresses. Madison could see the excitement in Marie's eyes and felt terrible, terrible for envying her and terrible for trying to find something that would make her seem horrible.

"Oh my lord look at this one" Marie said pulling Madison along with her. They got to a beautiful dress that was on display. It was sleeveless and had white sequence all over it. The vale matched and was long with many layers. It was the perfect wedding dress. Justin watched them as Marie showed Madison the dress. He could see Madison was stressed and he was dying to know why. He had missed her as much as he loved Marie he had missed Madison.

"Justin, come here!" Marie called.

"Look at this one" Marie said when he got over to where they were.

"It's nice" Justin said.

"Just nice?" Marie asked

"Really nice" Justin said, he seemed to want to please Marie more than he actually liked the dress.

"Well I love it." Just then her cell phone rang.

"Hello?" Marie answered the phone. It was her mother Isabelle.

"Hey Mom" Marie said and turned around to talk to her mother.

"Yeah, we're looking at dresses... Justin and Madison... Jaime's sister... ok I'll talk to you later love you too" Marie said and hung up the phone.

"It was my mom" Marie said.

"No kidding" Madison said sarcastically right after she said it she could have kicked herself when she saw her face. "I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that." Madison felt terrible. She looked over at Justin who was about to burst into laughter.

"It's ok, it was kind of obvious considering I said 'Hey Mom'" Marie said. They looked at dresses for a while longer and went to lunch. All throughout lunch Marie talked about Justin, her job, and their soon to be marriage.Madison wanted to kick her in the head.

      They got back to her house and Madison said she had to go.

"Yeah I have to move into my house sorry" Madison said.

"That's ok thank you for coming Madison" Marie said.

"Your welcome bye" Madison said. Before she walked out the door she waved to Justin. She didn't understand why she was so nervous around him but she was, and she didn't like it.

     She went back to her hotel and got all her stuff so she could go to her house. Tonight would be the first night she stayed there...
