Isn't it Obvious?
Chapter 17
She sat on her front porch gazing at the glimmering stars in the velvety sky.  They looked so close, the stars, yet they were so far away.  As thoughts of her entire day ran through her mind someone walked up to her.

"Hey" Madison looked up.  It was none other than Justin.

"Hey" Madison said with a smile.

"Mind if I sit here?" Justin asked pointing to the spot next to her on the porch.

"Not at all" Madison said with a laugh and he sat down.

"So how'd the wedding shower go?" Justin asked.

"It was completely insane." Madison said looking at the stars.

"Why? What happened?" Justin asked curiously.

"Oh no the wedding shower was lovely, my life is just the one that's insane. I swear if I could take it away from me and send it to a looney bin i would." Madison said. Justin just smiled at her and didn't say anything.  They were in silence looking at the stars.  "I found my mom"

"What?" Justin said he was caught kind of off guard.

"Well I didn't really find her more like she showed up I guess"

"When did you see her?" Justin asked.

"Today, at the wedding shower" Madison said simply.

"What? who?" Justin asked concerned.

" You know Marie's Aunt Janine.  That's my mom" Madison said and a tear ran down her cheek.

"Oh Madison I'm sorry" Justin said and turned to look at her.

"Why you have nothing to be sorry about" Madison said.

"I know but I don't know what to say" Justin said and looked down.

"She wasn't dead.  Gwen took me away from her and didn't let her see me or my dad" Madison said.  Justin stared at her in disbelief. "Why does Gwen always want to ruin my life?" Madison asked through tears.  It was impulsive Justin leaned over and hugged her close.

"I don't know" He whispered.  They stayed there for a couple of minutes until Madison pulled away from him.

"Thank you for being my friend" Madison smiled and wiped a tear from her cheek.

"It isn't a hard job to do" Justin smiled.  At that moment Madison's heart melted.

"I'm tired, I'm gonna go to bed" Madison said getting up. "I'll see you later" She said and walked in the door.

For once Madison went to sleep with a smile on her face.

Madison sat once again on her porch.  It had been almost a week since she had talked to Justin on the porch and she felt his strong arms around her.  Instead of looking at the velvety sky her gaze was caught on the grass infront of her.  It was dark no light was reflecting on it, just dark green.  The blades stood out like tall mountains.

Justin stood and studied her as she concentrated on the ground.  He could only assume she was looking at the grass and thinking.  But he had learned never to assume ( lol it makes an ass out of you and me lol sorry i had to say it!)  He slowly walked over to her, and sat down next to her.

"Oh Hey Justin I didn't even hear you coming" Madison said when she looked up at him.

"Yeah you were very intently looking at the floor and I wouldn't want to disturb that" Justin said seriously although he was joking.

"Very funny" Madison said. "And actually I was looking at the grass.  I mean have you ever really looked at it? It's like mountains and ridges. and stuff... i'll shut up now" Madison said once she saw the look she was getting.

"Right, you wanna go somewhere?" Justin asked.  Madison was shocked. What he asking her out? No! she thought he probably wants to show me something for the wedding. Madison thought.

"umm... Sure" Madison said.

"Ok come on" Justin said and got up and grabbed her hand. Luckily she had shoes on already.

"Where are we going?" Madison asked.

"It's a surprise" Justin said and pulled her in the car...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After driving for about 20 minutes and Madison bugging Justin about where they were going.  They finally arrived to their secret destination.

"We're here!" Justin said cheerfully and opened his side of the car. (sounds familiar don't it?)

Madison opened the door and stepped out of the car.  At the sight infront of her her breath caught in her chest.  They were at Crystal Bay Carnival.

"What are we doing here?" Madison asked with a smile playing her face.

"Well I haven't been here in a while and I've kinda been wanting to come and plus i haven't been able to hang out with you for a while so to kill two birds with one stone I can take you here" Justin said with a smile.

"Oh ok" Was all Madison could say.

"Let's go" Justin said, grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the entrance.

Once they were inside they played games and rode rides.  Finally there was the last thing left: the ferris wheel.  Madison hated ferris wheels (I swear they're horrible inventions!), infact that's what she was thinking the whole time they walked to it and sat down. She was nervous Justin could sense it.

"Are you ok?" He asked as he grabbed her hand to comfort her.

"Yeah I'm just not a big fan of ferris wheels" Madison said looking straight athead refusing to look down.

"You should have told me we didn't have to go on it" Justin said with a laugh.

"Yeah but too late now" Madison said with an uneasy laugh.

"Just relax" he said softly and Madison did.

They rode the ferris wheel and were finally let off. Madison was greatful. not that being so close to justin was a bad thing, it was just she felt like honking (lol if you've seen wayne's world you know what i mean).  They walked out to the infamous pier where they had stood years ago.  The entire night was an image of years ago.  They gazed at the stars.

"What are you thinking?" Justin asked (I Know he askes that a lot but it builds up so just deal with it!)

"I was thinking about the aliens again" Madison said with a laugh and looked down. justin looked at her and laughed he wasn't laughing at her he was laughing at her cuteness. She's so beautiful he thought.

On impulse he lifted her chin with his hand and looked in her eye.  They were deeper and more beautiful than he remembered.  Her skin was soft and clear.  His eyes traveled all over her face until they stopped on one spot.  Like two ridges in the middle of a plain, her lips were a light pinky color.  He could almost remember the taste of them and the feel of them.  He leaned forward, Madison did too.  Closer and closer they came until.....
