What's the Plot: A couple mourning the loss of their child retreat to a cabin in the woods, where they soon encounter strange, terrifying occurrences.
What's the Deal: Lars Von Trier directing a horror film is an exciting thought and it will come true in late summer with Antichrist. With the solid Willem Dafoe as his lead man and a supernatural plot this is the frontrunner for the movie most likely to be the scariest of the year.

Who's In It: Morgan Freeman, Matt Damon
What's the Plot: A look at life for Nelson Mandela after the fall of apartheid in South Africa during his first term as president when campaigned to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup event as an opportunity to unite his countrymen.
What's the Deal: Clint Eastwood is on a roll making movies. Last year he came out with Changeling and Gran Torino, the latter which I have seen is a great film. This is slated to come out late 09' and is likely to continue Clint's hot streak behind the camera. Plus Morgan Freeman is the perfect choice to play Nelson Mandela and is an easy Oscar bait type of role.

What's the Plot: A traveling theater company gives its audience much more than they were expecting.
What's the Deal: You remember the hype for Heath Ledger as the Joker, right? Well this is his ACTUAL last role ever. In fact he passed during filming so Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell stepped in to play different incarnations of Ledger's character. Plus this comes from the intriguing mind of Terry Gilliam who is due for a comeback film.

Who's In It: Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, David Morse
What's the Plot: Iraq. Forced to play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in the chaos of war, an elite Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb.
What's the Deal; CThis film has already screened at the Toronto film festival in 2008 and was lauded as the definitive Iraq war film. Apparently the action sequences are so tremendously intense that some audience members could not handle the suspense. It is a pretty sure thing that this will be one of the best and most exciting films of the year.
