1968 Pontiac GTO  with 400 Ram-Air II & Muncie M22 "Rockcrusher". My dad went 2 1/2 tours in Vietnam from 1967-1970 in the Army to pay for this car. He dropped out of college at Iowa State & joined up voluntarily. He special ordered it from the factory. It is 1 of 757 Ram-Air II / M22  GTOs ever built.
1968 Pontiac Firebird with a serious engine inside. It's a Pontiac 455 block with a Pontiac 428 crankshaft & Ram-Air IV heads.. It has Nitrous Oxide to keep the Big Chevys from forgetting about those Big Pontiacs out at Houston Raceway Park. It turns 10.7's on spray.

This MONSTER used to be in the 1968 Firebird, but I blew the tops out of 4 Arias forged pistons. My dad put a newly built engine in the Bird & gave me this engine for a 1968 GTO I bought in Kansas when I was in the Army. The engine is a 1970 400ci 4-bolt block bored .030" & race prepped (head & main studs, etc.). The heads are race ported Ram-Air III's. The intake is an Offenhauser 2X4 bbl tunnel-ram that has not been available for many years. On top of this mountain there are two 500cfm 4-bbl Carter AFB's. Click on the picture and look close & you can see the Nitrous-Oxide Systems Dual Cheater plates under the carbs. That means 789hp to you & me.
