Vash the Stampede, aka The Humanoid Typhoon.

CHARACTER: Vash is the hero of our Trigun story. In the beginning, not much is known about him other than that he is the most feared and dangerous man on Gunsmoke, with a $$60,000,000,000 price on his head. He dislikes violence, and prizes life. love, and peace above all else. His trademarks are his long red coat, his unusual silver gun, and his slick yellow shades.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood, aka the Preacher

CHARACTER: Much is still a mystery about Wolfwood. He first meets Vash in a chance encounter, and then ends up teaming with him on numerous occasions. Wolfwood is dressed as a hip preacher, carrying a large shrouded cross and a miniature chapel with him as he travels. More than a mere preacher-man, Wolfwood proves to be a strong ally and a dangerous opponent to go up against.

Meryl Strife, aka Derringer Meryl

CHARACTER: Meryl is the first of the two Bernandeli Insurance girls sent to track the dangerous Vash the Stampede down and prevent him from causing more destruction, and thus more cost, for her insurance company. Meryl disbelieves that Vash is the real Humanoid Typhoon for some time, unable to see through his clownish behavior. Over time, she grows to love him, and proves to be an interesting foil to Vash.

Milly Thompson, aka Stungun Milly

CHARACTER: Milly is Meryl's partner from the Bernandeli Insurance Agency to prevent Vash the Stampede from causing furhter property damage. Milly is a very tall, strong woman. She often plays the airhead of the group, but she has moments of stunning wisdom. She is very warm and emotional, and believed Vash to be who he was beofre Meryl.
